Thomas B. Fife, Former Peters Township School Board member

THOMAS BOYD FIFE, 88, of Peters Township, died Tuesday, June 7, 1994, in his home.

He was born December 11, 1905, in Peters Township, a son of JAMES G. and BESSIE ROACH FIFE.

Mr. Fife was a longtime farmer in Peters Township. He also was a bus driver and custodian for Peters Township School District for 38 years.

He was a life member of Center Presbyterian Church in McMurray, a member of Peters Township Grange and a former member of the Peters Township School Board.

Mr. Fife graduated from Peters Township High School in 1922.

On November 12, 1930, he married RUTH PHILIPS FIFE, who survives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are three daughters, R. JOANNE E. JONES, MARLENE A. CRITCHFIELD and DONNA R. LEECH, all of Peters Township; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

--Also, from the same issue, same page: Friends of THOMAS BOYD FIFE of Peters Township, who died Tuesday, June 7, 1994, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, Peters Township, were services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10 with the Rev. Donald J. Steele officiating. Interment in Center Church Cemetery, McMurray. Memorial contributions may be made to Center Presbyterian Church, McMurray.

BECKLEY _ Mrs. Judy Shrewsbury Rogers, 32, of Beckley died Friday in a Beckley hospital after a short illness Surviving: mother, Lola Mae Rakes Shrewsbury of Beckley, sisters, Dorlia Cox, Sylvia Sweeney and Jane Lacy, all of Crab Orchard; brothers, Roger Shrewsbury of Crab Orchard, Dennis Shrewsbury of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Melton Mortuary, Beckley, with the Rev. Robert Combs officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
