ANNIVERSARY: Tom and Jeannine Higgins 
  
Tom and Jeannine Higgins are celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Tom and Jeannine were married July 4, 1953, at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska. They met while Jeannine was working at the commissary at Fort Richardson, where Tom was in the military. 

Tom is a retired machinist from Mare Island as well as a retired captain after 25 years on the Benicia Volunteer Fire Department. Jeannine is a homemaker.

Children: Linda Higgins-Brown, Selma, Oregon; Kathleen Higgins, Concord, California; John Higgins, Vallejo, California; Kristi Higgins, San Francisco, California. Four grandchildren

How they'll celebrate: Tom and Jeannine's children will be hosting an old fashion barbecue in Selma, Oregon. Their grandchildren, John M. Higgins and Chelsea M. Higgins of Benicia, California, Angela Wilkerson of Benicia, California, and Stephanie Moskal of Schuylerville, New York, will be there to help their grandparents celebrate.
