Hannah Rosalia Hale, Josie Webb and Lula Layman
|
Rosalia (Rosie), Lula and Josie Hale were reared in Virginia.
Rosie married James H. McPherson from West Virginia and they settled near Kegley in Mercer County.
Lula married Will Latman and they settled in New Castle, Virginia. Josie married Walter Webb and
they settled in West Virginia. Their farm was located near the farm of James H. McPherson.
After some years the Webbs sold their farm in West Virginia and migrated to the state of Washington.
During the early 1930's, the Webbs decided to make a trip east to see the family. Walter, Josie and their
two daughters, Queenie and OK (short for Oklahoma where she was born) drove across the country.
They stopped at night, pitched a tent, and slept. When they got to West Virginia, they pitched the tent in Rosie's yard.
All her grandchildren were eager to sleep in the tent.
Of course, there was a big family reunion and Lula and her family came from Virginia. The picture was made at that time.
The Webbs returned to Washington and spent their life there.
