UPDATE:Grave of Abram Lott: ABRAHAM LOTT, Died Dec. 27, 1846, Aged 63 years, 3 months, & (rest is unreadable). Note: his wife is buried in Jersey Hill Cemetery. My aunt says that Abraham was part Indian and that was why he wasn't allowed to be buried at Jersey Hill. Her stone spelled his name "Abram."

Recent gravesite: SORBER Janet M. Oct 1936-May 1988 William Sr. Apr 1930-June 1988 Together Forever (with an engraving of a motorcycle) At the end of Yonker Hill Road near West Auburn is the grave of two children. Somebody does keep the site mowed. PHOTO On the front of the stone: Libbie A. and George W. children of Samuel & Betsey R. BURNETT The part of the epitaph that I could read says: little children to come unto me. On the back of the stone: Libbie A. Died April 16, 1876 Aged 9 ys, 8 mo, & 19 ds. George W. Died April 15, 1876 Aged 7 ys, 3 mo, & 20 ds.
15. At an unknown site in a pasture up the hill from Beech Grove Road near West Auburn is the graves of two little girls. They are supposedly buried along the fence line about half way up the hill on the Benscooter farm that once belonged to John Smith. In the barn that still stands, is their gravestone that was bought and inscribed but never placed at the graves. The stone is unweathered and in excellent condition having been sheltered all these years. ***A Effie M. Gracie A. died died Jan. 6, 1868 Dec. 31, 1876 AE 10 Days. AE 1 Mo. daughters of John M & Eliza A. SMITH Put away the little dresses, That our darlings used to weare, They will need them on earth no more, They have climed The golden stair. (The spellings are copied exactly from the stone.)
