Forest Lake Cemetery

Located in Forest Lake, PA., up the hill behind the Forest Lake Baptist Church. Drive East past the Church a couple hundred feet to a road that bears right up the hill. Go up this hill about 200 yards and there will be a house on the right, it's driveway on the lower side of the lawn and an abandoned road on the upper side of the lawn which leads to the cemetery. Walk up the abandoned road about 250 yards, and the cemetery is on the right, surrounded by trees.

UPDATE

Cemetery visited in July 2006 by Joel
previously unlisted stones:
(1) L.E.C. Opner(?) NOTES: very light & difficult to read. Could be L.E.G. Probably only partial last name. Small stone.
Almost looks like name was hand carved into stone at later date - not professionally carved
(2) Jerry Perhamus d. 8/31/1895
(3) Jonathon Horton d. 8/25/1829 - 61 years NOTES: Located between stone for "Polly Slyter" and "William Horton"
(4) Betsey wife of Simeon (Barnes???) d 4/28/1845 NOTES: next to stone for "Eo?s??ven daughter of Jonathon and Polly Horton...".
Possibly same stone as "Simeon?" as noted by Kenneth E. Smith in 2000.
Very difficult to read last name. "Barnes" could be wrong.
Addition information on stones previously transcribed by Kenneth E. Smith in 2000
(1) "Eo?s??ven daughter of Jonathon and Polly Horton...". NOTES: Name appeared to be "Easther" or "Eosther"
(2) "? wife of Joseph M. ?ae 96 yrs. 26 days" NOTES: First name appeared to be "Hanna"
Other NOTES: It appeared that about 1/3 of this cemetery has unmarked graves or stones that are
completely unreadable due to wear.
I hope this helps someone. Joel Jordan
