Ancestors of Wilhelm Conrad Lehmann and Louise Hulda Henschke

These pages are intended to detail the ancestors of my maternal grandparents Wilhelm Conrad Lehmann (WCL) and Louise Hulda Henschke (LHH) who emigrated from various parts of Prussia to South Australia in the period 1837-1848 to settle in the Barossa Valley of South Australia.    It has grown to contain much information on many other families related by marriage to WCL and LHH.

Heinrich Gerhard Ahrens arrived on the South Australian in 1837 to settle in Bethany

Dorothea Elisabeth Schmidt and her parents Gottlob Schmidt and Anna Dorathea nee Kluge arrived on the Zebra in 1838 to settle in Hahndorf.

Johann Gottfried Schultz and Johanna Eleonore nee Rau arrived on the Prince George in 1838 to settle in Rowland Flat.

Johann Gottlieb Koch and his parents Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Koch and Anna Dorothea nee Baum arrived on the Catharina in 1839  to settle in Klemzig then Rowland Flat..

Amalie Christiane Thomas, her parents Johann Gottlieb Thomas and Luise, and grandfather Samuel Thomas arrived on the Skjold in 1841 to settle in Lobethal.

.Johann Christian Henschke also arrived on the Skjold in 1841 to settle in Krondorf.

Johann Gottlieb Lehmann and Karoline Sophie Amalie nee Lemm and her parents Christian Friedrich Wilhelm Lemm and Sophie Amalie nee Hoff arrived on the Leontine in 1848 to settle in Hoffnungsthal.

The listing of descendants has generally been truncated at my grandfather's generation to place a finite limit on the document and avoid some of the concerns of those now living.
