Jodi

Hi! I am Jodi. I am the person behind this little page in cyberspace. I began doing webpages shortly after we connected to the internet in 1998. I started messing around and discovered this to be a lot of fun and a good way to get some much needed "mommy time". Now you can find me posting regularly on my blog, Organized Chaos.

I was born in South Dakota but I moved around a lot as a kid. I have lived in Wyoming, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, California, Colorado, and now we are back in South Dakota. I love the people, towns, and fields of corn and beans waving in the summer sun. I don't care much for the freezing cold winters but I adjust every year.

My parents divorced when I was about 11. It was a very tough ordeal but after a few years and some survival skills I overcame it. I met my husband my sophomore year of High School (he was in 8th grade). We spent all of our time together after that. We decided to get married after he graduated from High School in June of 1993. We had a small wedding at a park in Hot Springs. It was a beautiful day and we vowed to spend the rest of our days together forever.

We moved to Brookings, South Dakota to attend college at South Dakota State University. I majored in Family and Consumer Science Education. I graduated with a BS in May of 1998.

I am now a stay-at-home mom to four girls and one boy. I love being here for my kids when they need me. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. I spend my days playing taxi, cleaning the house, modeling ethics, morals, and values for my kids, organizing the house, paying bills, cooking, doing laundry, baking, changing diapers, helping with homework, and all the other stuff a household requires. During my free time I like to do genealogy, read, write stories, create webpages, and just relax.
