The Flying Flocks
Okay...these boys are direct decendants of Leonard "Peachtree" Williams... Mama was a Flock by her Dad and a Williams by her Mom...Peachtree was at one time the biggest bootlegger in Atlanta, GA. The Flocks were in Fort Payne, AL and Lee Flock died in the late 1920's leaving Maude with a herd of children ( there were 9 of them all told). My mother raced from about 1936 to 1952 when my sister came along, and daddy put his foot down, he didn't mind raising one girl, but two was a bit much.
Bob, Fonty and Tim all started in the early 30's and Tim raced till 1961. Tim was the baby of the family, he was also the one who won a couple of NASCAR championships.
