Hubert Puder MOGEN was born on Sep 15, 1920 in Ortonville,
MN. He died on Dec 12, 2001 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was
buried on Dec 18, 2001 in UCC Waubay, SD. Hubert was born in Ortonville,
MN on September 15, 1920. The family moved to Waubay, SD where he was baptized
and confirmed at the United Church of Christ. He attended the Waubay School,
graduating in 1937. After attending Augustana College in Sioux Falls, he returned
to Waubay to work for his father at the State Bank of Waubay. He enlisted in
the US Army and served as a cryptographer in Belgium and France during WW II.
His Division was involved in the Battle of the Bulge.
Hubert was a leader in the UCC church, served as commander and adjutant of the
Brady-Monson Post 129, American Legion of Waubay, South Dakota Bankers Asso,
VFW, Lebanon Church Preservation Board, served twenty four years on the Waubay
School Board, Day County School Board, Day County Hospital Board and the Republican
Party. "Bert" was a banker in Waubay for over 40 years. He was well
known for his musical abilities as a tenor soloist and clarinetist. Hubert
Puder MOGEN and Marjorie Louise CHRISTOFERSON were married on Apr 23, 1943.
Marjorie Louise CHRISTOFERSON was born on Sep 21,
1920. She died on Jan 6, 2005. Hubert Puder MOGEN and
