17. Agnes Christine HOVLAND was born on Jun 3, 1908 in Blooming Valley Twp, South Dakota. She died on Dec 31, 1995 in Waubay, SD. Agnes was baptized at Lebanon Lutheran Church and confirmed at Wilmot Lutheran Church. The family lived on a farm south of Ortley in Blooming Valley Township, where she attended country school. She graduated from Wilmot High School in 1927. She attended Northern Normal in Aberdeen, and business college in Detroit, Michigan. She taught country schools in the northeast part of SD for 15 years.

After her marriage to Edwin Nelson, the couple made their home in Waubay where they operated the International Harvester dealership for many years.

Agnes Christine HOVLAND and Edwin M NELSON were married on Jan 29, 1944. Edwin M NELSON was born on Sep 12, 1903. He died on Jul 24, 1974. Agnes Christine HOVLAND and Edwin M NELSON had the following children:
