HOVLAND was born on Jun 19, 1960. After high school in Aberdeen,
Tom graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a degree
in mechanical engineering. While in college, he also earned a private pilot's
certificate. After graduation, he worked at many different engineering jobs,
earned an MS degree in technical communications, and also took enough flying
lessons to become a flight instructor. In 1998, he left the field of engineering
to become a commuter airline pilot. He worked at Great Lakes Aviation and Air
Wisconsin airlines until 2005, when he found a job working for a fractional jet
ownership company called CitationShares.

Patrick HOVLAND and JoAnn Lynne BENNETT were married on Oct 16, 1993 in Fort
Collins, CO. JoAnn Lynne BENNETT was born
on Nov 16, 1964. JoAnn graduated from the University of Northern
Colorado with a degree in graphic art. After working at several different jobs
in that field, her love of animals led her to enroll in the Bel-Rea School of
Animal Technology, where she became a certified veterinary technician. She worked
for several years at Care Animal Hospital in Arvada, CO. In 2001, when JoAnn's
father, Jim, was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Tom and JoAnn moved to Fort Collins
to help care for him. JoAnn worked part time in a microbiology laboratory at
the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University. Caring for her
father gave JoAnn an interest in the medical profession and, after a long period
of preparation, she started nursing school in 2007.
