I started my research in 2000 due to a college term project I had to complete for final exam. My initial research led to a craving to know more about people I had only grown up knowing by their headstones and after a trip across country I begin getting the answers. In 2002 I hit a brickwall that discouraged me and with a new baby at home I gave up my project. Then in October of 2006 while visiting my mother-in-law in Washington state I was presented with a family treasure -- Her father's genealogical research book that he worked on from 1941 to 1981. This renewed my interest and with our 'baby' now being five I am able to spend time consumed in documents, censuses, cemeteries, etc. I'm also allowing the little one to help and she's learning to appreciate the hunt for her
