I Thomas A Cortte thelder of the p[ar]ishe of Walltham in the Countye of Kent beyng of hole mynd & yn good memorye (laude be to God) Ordeyn and make my testament & last wyll in man[ne]r & forme folowyng
Fyrst I bequethe my soule to allmyghty God, o[u]r blessyd ladye & to all the saynts of hevyn, my bodye to be buryed In the churche yard of Walltham aforsayd

Item I bequethe to the hye aulter ther(e) for my tythes & oblatyons necleygently forgoten xijd
Item I bequethe to or ladye lyght iiijd
Item I bequethe to the Crosse lyght ther iiijd
Item I wyll to Seynt Bartyllmewes lyght iiijd
Item to the herse lyght iiijd
Item I will ther be don(e) for the helthe of my soule & all Crysten souls at my buryeng v masses and lyke wyse at my moneths mynd other v masses
Item I will there be kept yerely by the space of x yere An obbyt of iij masses
one masse to be don be [by] Hamon my sonn And Another by my sonn Arnold & they to bere tharge [the charge] of those that shalbe spent at the seyd yers mynd
And the iijde [3rd] masse to be done by my son Clement & he to bere the resydwe of the charges

Item I will that my sonn Arnold shall fynd a tax of a pownd of wax? yerly? to bren [burn] before the ymage of our ladye of peety [piety] for evr havyng therfore a hous(e) called Cakyshaffe & the lands thereto belongyng

Item I bequethe to Clement my son a cow to fynd a tredyll before our ladye of peety yn the churche of Waltham aforseyd the whyche tremdyll I wyll Arnold my sonn shall make fyrst at hys cost & then Clement to mayntene hyt forthe for ever

The resydwe of all my goods not bequethed, my detts & bequestes fullfylled & payd I bequeyth to Clement A Court my sonn
Whyche Clement I orden & make my executor, he to dyspose for the helthe of my soule & all Crysten souls As shall thynke hym best
Also I make Hamond A Court my sonn ovrseer of thys my testament & last wyll he to have for hys labors vjs viijd

Thys ys the last Will of me the said Thomas Acourte made the day and yere above writen

First I will that my son Arnold Acourte shalhave my place at Wyllyngs with xv Acres of land be it more or lesse to hym to hys heires and Assignes foevr
Also I will that my son Clement Acourt shall have my place at Shepecort withall my lands to the same p[er]teynyng lyeng yn the parisshes of Walthan and Elmestede To hym his heires & Assigns forevr

Also I will that my feoffs John Swayne & Symon Acourte shall imediatly aft(er) my deaesse [decease] delivr a laufull state to the said Clement Acourte yn my lands at Shepecort with the appertenncs [appurtenances] And to Arnold Acorte my son yn my place at Wyllyngs with the lands to the same belongyng forevr

Probatum fuit: 23rd May 1528
