In the name of God Amen The Fift day of December in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand sixe hundred and fourteene
I Margaret Ady daughter of John Ady late of Sittingborne in the County of Kent, gent, deceased, beinge sicke in body but of perfect remembrance doe make and ordayne this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge First I bequeath my soule into the hands of God that made it and gave it to me in assured trust and confidence through the meanes and mediation of Jesus Christ my Lord and only Saviour that it shalbe at the last day ioyned to my body agayne and they both shalbe placed in that ioy and rest which is prepared with Christ for all the faithfull and in the meane tyme I will that my body be buried in the parish Church of Dodington neere where my said Father and my Sister Fell were buried and that a tombe stone with some remembrance of me shalbe there laid of the value of �6, And I will that there be bestowed on my funeral expences in interteynment of my freindes and Relevinge of the poor �30.

Item I give and bequeath to the poore of the said parish of Sittingborne 50 shillings and to the poore of Dodington aforesaid 50 shillings.
Item I give to Mr Bradshawe, Minister of Sittingborne to preach at my buryall 20 shillings and to Mr Jackson Minister of Tunstall 15 shillings.

Item I give and bequeath unto my deare mother Mrs Thomasyn Ady widow �100 which remaineth in the handes of John Bix gent my brother in lawe and I will that he shall make assurance thereof to her ymediatly after my death.
Item I give farther to my said mother my ridinge Cloke and safegarde and my best silver handle for a fanne.

Item I give and bequeath unto John Ady gent my brother �100 which is in Mr Richard Bixes hand due to me in the grant of an annuitie
Item I give and bequeath unto my said brother in lawe John Bix �10 and to Elizabeth Bix my sister his wife �60 and my will is that her husband put in sufficient assurance to myne Executor hereafter named that the said �60 and the benefit that shall arise thereof shall be to the use of my said sister Elizabeth and her Children after her decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said sister Elizabeth Bix my taffeta Petticote, my new truncke with letters on it for my name standinge at Sittingborne and my quaife and crosecloth that my sister Fell gave to me.

Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Ledsham my brother in lawe �10 and to my sister Mrs Joane Ledsham �60 of good and lawfull money of England and my will is that her said husband shall put in sufficient bond or assurance to myne Executor hereafter named that the said �60 and the benefit that shall arise thereof shalbe to the use of my sister Ledsham and her assigns.
Item I give unto my said brother Ledsham the Chaire and stooles that I have in his house in London which my sister Fell gave unto me.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Ledsham my best corded Taffeta gowne, my best purse, my best gloves and my great truncke bedsteede and Curtens that are in her house at London.

Item I give and bequeath unto Mr James Wod my brother in lawe �10 and to my sister Jane his wife the some of �60 of good and lawfull money of England, and my will is that my said brother Mr Wood shall put in sufficient bond or assurance to my said brother Mr John Ady before named that the said �60 and the benfitt thereof shalbe to my said sister his wife and to her Children or assigns, Further I bequeath to that Childe wherewith shee now goeth the somme of �10 to buy a peece of plate.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said sister Wood my best perpetuana gowne with the silver lace and satten piceadilla and my bed, bolsters, pillows and Coverlet which I have at my brother Mr Ledshams house at London. Alsoe I give her the second parte of Mr Smithes sermons.

Item my will and meaning is that if either or any of my said three brothers in lawe shall refuse to put in such assurance as aforesaid that the severall sommes of �60 a peece before given to theire wyfes shalbe and remaine to the use and uses of their wyfes and Children or Assigns as aforesaid, then the said sommes and every or any of them shall remayne in the hands of myne Executor hereafter named to the use and uses of them theire Children or assigns aforesaid, he givinge assurance to them and either of them thereof.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Aunte Hewson 30 shillings to make her a ringe, and to Mr Plaifere to make him a ringe and to Mrs Plaifere my best Holland apron and 10 shillings to make her a Ringe.
Item I give to Mr Ainscombe to make him a Ringe �5 and to Mr Lawe a 15s peece of gould.
Item I give and bequeath to Mr Parry to make him a Ringe 30 shillings, and to Mr William Harrison for the like purpose 30 shillings.
Item I give and bequeath to my Cozen Anslow and his wife to either of them 30 shillings to make them Ringes.

Item I give to Ady Bix, my brother Bix his sonne �5 and to Mary Bix my goddaughter, one other of his Children, �10, my white shagge wascote and ------- peticote, and to John Bix, James Bix and Joane Bix, three other of his Children by my said sister, �3 a peece.
Item I further give to the said Joane Bix my gylt boule which my sister Fell gave me.
Item I give to Katherine Bix my pott with the silver and gylt cover which my sister Fell gave me, and I give to John Bix one of the Children of my brother Bix by his first wife, my little gulte salte.

Item I give to Martha Auslow (Austow? Auston?) my wrought wastcote.
Item I give to Mistres Note, widdowe to make her a Ringe 20 shillings and to her daughter my best band and cuffes savinge one and to make her a Ringe 10 shillings.
Item I give to Mrs Elizabeth Isted my best band and cuffes.
Item I give to Jane Huson my Cozen my mourninge goune and my best apron savinge one two smocks and 20 shillings to make her a Ringe.
Item I give to Mrs Martyn 10 shillings.
item I give to my Cosen Higham thelder 20 shillings and one yarde and an half of flannel Cloth to make her a Petticote.
Item I give to Elizabeth Huson and Sibill my kinswoman to either of them 10 shillings for ringes.
Item I give and bequeath to John Epse gent to make him a ringe 30 shillings.

Item my will and meaninge is that all the legacies of money herebefore given or hereafter in this my will given shalbe paid by myne Executor hereafter named within three monthes next after my decease.
Item I give to my Cozen Rebecca Higham 30 shillings and to my nurse Taylor 20 shillings
to widow West 30 shillings and to Richard Atkins 20 shillings.
Item I give to Humfry Jones 30 shillings and to Mary Wilborne 30 shillings;
To Richard Bickerdicke 10 shillings.
Item I give to my mothers servant Elizabeth Vygin 20 shillings and to Jane Greenestreete one other of my mothers servants 20 shillings.
Item to Anne Vygin 10 shillings and to Hester Hennicar 30 shillings.
Item I give and bequeath to Widdow Snite (?) 10 shillings and to goodwife Walters of Dodington20 shillings.

Item to Francis Buckes wife 10 shillings and to widdow Smith of Sittingborne 10 shillings.
Item to widdow Thornicrofte 10 shillings and to widow Weeke 20 shillings.
Item I give to goodwyfe Caudrey 10 shillings and to the wife of William Browne the butcher 20 shillings.
Item I give and bequeath to my Goddaughter Margaret Higham �5.
Item to my godsonne Richard Huffe 10 shillings, to my godsonne Michael Finch his sonne 10 shillings and to widdow Hortons sonne 10 shillings.
Item I give to Mr Edmund Wade of London silkeman to make him a Ringe 30 shillings.
Item I give to Johane Wood of Milsted, widow, to make her a Ringe 30 shillings and to Mr Playfere for writinge this my present will 20 shillings.

The residue of my goodes unbequeathed I bequeath to myne Executor hereunder named towards the execution of this my present will and his travell therein, And I make and ordayne Executor of this my last will and Testament my said brother in lawe Mr James Woodd

And I doe revoke all former willes and being the cheifest of all my goods and Chattells I doe by name give and bequeath assigne and sett over unto the said James Wood my Executor the lease that I hould for diverse yeares yet to come of certen Marshe landes in the levell of Romney Marshe in the parish of Brensett parcel of the possessions of the heire of Walter Harlakynden late of Tunstall in the Countie of Kent esquire deceased which now are in thoccupacion of Mr Button or his assigns

And I doe make overseers of this my present will my said brothers in lawe Mr Ledsham and Mr Bix

And in wittnes that this will being written in two sides or sheetes of paper is my very true and last Will and Testament I have caused the same to be written and read and have published and declared it soe to be and to it I have put my marke severally on both leaves and my seale to them ioyntly together the daye and yeare first above written.
