first I give unto my sonne John Ady and to Walter Chirfeild my sonne in law all my goods and chattelles whatsoever to bee equally devided betwixt them they paying out such legacyes as are heereafter mentiened.
Imprimis to my wife Martha the sume of five pounds yearely during ye terme of her naturall life to bee paid unto her quarterly by equall portions the foure usuall feasts; viz at the feast of the Annunciation of Lady, the feast of St John Baptist the feast of St Michaell and the feast of the nativity of our Lord and for the more securing of this payment to her it is my will that they my above named sonnes shall give bond unto her for the dischardge of thereof: beside the former bequeth unto my wife I also give unto her whatsoever household stuffe she shall require to her own prosper use and dispose
Item I give unto Edmond Ady the sonne of John Ady the summe of five pounds to bee paid unto him when he shall attaine the age of one and twenty years and to Martha the daughter of the said John the summe of forty shillinges when she shall come to the age of one and twenty yeraes
Item I give to Richard Chrisfeeld the sonne of the above mentioned Walter Chirsfeeld the sume of five pounds and to his daughter Martha the summe of forty shillings to be payd to each of them when they shall severally attaine the ages of one and twenty yeares
Item I give to Dannell Wright Mary Wright to each of thm forty shillings to bee payd within five yeares after my decease
And of this my will and testament I constitute and appoint my sonne John Ady my sole and only executor yet soo that I will have his brother whom I have joined with him in the bequeath to beare the moity of all chardges above my buriall or whatsoever requireable about the proofe of my testament or otherwise. In witness whereof I have heerunto sett my hand the mark of Edmund Ady in the presence of Henry Vansson the mark of Henry Buckherst.
