Will of Thomas Apps

of Snargate, Kent

First I Give and Bequest unto my Loving Wife Sarah the Use of all and every my household and furniture for and during the Term of her Natural life and immediately from and after her Decease I Give and bequeath the same Household Goods and ffurniture unto my Son John Apps his Executors and Administrators for ever
Also I give and bequeath all my Husbandry Tackle of what Nature or Kind soever unto my said Son John Apps
Also I Give and bequeath unto my said Son John Apps the Lease and Term of Years of and in the ffarms and Lands I use and Occupy

Also I Give and bequeath All the rest and residue of my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever it not herein before disposed of my Debts ffuneral Expenses probate of this my Will and all other Charges whatsoever thereto being first fully paid and satisfied unto my Sons William Apps Thomas Apps Richard Apps my said Son John Apps and my Daughter Sarah Apps Equally to be divided between and amongst them Share and Share alike in twelve Months next after my Decease they every and each of them paying unto my said Wife fforty shillings a year a piece by Quarterly payments to wit lady Day Midsummer Day Michaelmas Day and Christmas day the first payment to begin and to be made on the first of the said days that shall happen and be next after my Decease and for the better payment thereof I do hereby Direct and order my said Sons and Daughter and each and every one of them to give unto my said Wife such Security as she Shall approve of in one Week next after my Decease either by his or her Note of Hand or Bond but if my said Sons or Daughter or any or either of them do refuse or Neglect to Give my said Wife such Security as aforesaid demand thereof being first made then I do hereby give and bequeath the part and share parts and shares of him her or them so refusing or Neglecting unto my said Wife

and I do hereby make and appoint my said Son John Apps Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Apps the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this fourth day of April One Thousand seven Hundred and fifty ffive Thomas Apps Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Apps the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other (the word three being first struck out and the word Twelve interlined)
