This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Argles of Maidstone in the County of Kent Spinster

First I desire that my remains may be placed in the Family Vault in All Saints Church and as near to that of my dear departed friend Mrs Du Bois as may be
and that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences be paid from and out of my Personal Estate by my Executor herein after named as soon as convenient after my decease

In the next place I give devise and bequeath unto my dear nephew Thomas Argles All that my freehold Malthouse with the fixtures thereto belonging And also all those my two Cottages and tenements and Premises and all other my real estate both freehold and copyhold situate at Loose in the County of Kent that I may be possessed of at the time of my decease To hold to him and his assigns during the term of his natural life

and from and immediately after his decease I give devise and bequeath the said malthouse cottages or tenements and premises unto Letitia Elizabeth Argles the wife of the said Thomas Argles To hold to her and her assigns during the term of her natural life
And from and immediately after the decease of the said Letitia Elizabeth Argles I give devise and bequeath the said malthouse cottages or tenements premises and real estate unto Thomas Archambo Argles son of my said nephew Thomas Argles To hold the same to him the said Thomas Archambo Argles and his right heirs for ever

I give and bequeath to my said nephew Thomas Argles the sum of thirty pounds long annuities standing in my name or in trust for me in the books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England Upon trust to sell out the same and divide the produce thereof in the following manner (that is to say)
Upon trust to pay one third part thereof to my niece Catherine Thorowgood of Camberwell
Another third part thereof to my niece Ann Argles now of Maidstone spinster
and the remaining third part thereof to my niece Catherine Argles eldest daughter of my nephew Thomas Argles
and which I hereby give and bequeath to my said nieces accordingly

I also give and bequeath to my said niece Ann Argles my Mant�s Bible and Testament and such other of my books as my executors may think most suited and also six silver tea spoons my small silver tea pot four forks and two table spoons

To my niece the said Catherine Thorowgood six silver tea spoons the sugar bason and cream ewer to match and such share of my books as my said executor shall think proper

To the said Letitia Elizabeth Argles wife of my said nephew Thomas Argles my best silver tea pot and stand six silver tea spoons (with the crest on) six silver forks and my watch and seals
To my nieces Harriet and Cordelia a ring each of such of my books and pictures as my Executor hereafter named shall think proper

I also give and bequeath all my wearing apparel and linen unto my said nieces Catherine Thorowgood Ann Argles and Catherine Argles to be equally divided between them
I give and bequeath to such of my dear nieces children of my brother Edward as may be living at my decease the legacy of five pounds each and I direct the same to be paid to them by my said Executor immediately after my decease to Provide them in mourning
I give and bequeath unto each of my nephews Edward Argles John A Argles Revd Marsham Argles and Frank Atkinson one gold mourning ring as a token of my affection for them
And the reason why I haven�t given anything more to them nor bequeathed anything to my dear brother John Archambo is that I consider them all fully provided for

and as for All the Rest and Residue of my personal estate and effects I give and bequeath the same unto and for the absolute use of my said nephew Thomas Argles his executors administrators and assigns
And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Argles sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me made

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this first day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty seven Ann Argles
