Also I will that Johane my wyff shalhave ij beddes that ys the bed in the Chambre and the bed in the p[ar]lor wt Blancketts and covrletts Also my iij Chestes wtall my Raymente and shetes and other Lynnen and also ij dozen of the beste pewtor wt Syxe shallings Sylver spones and all the brasse to gyve and bestowe where she Lyfe

Also I gyve to my daughters Johane Carpent[e]r and Agnes Tate fourtye shyllings a peace to be payde to them wtin one yeare nexte after my decease
Also I bequethe unto the thre(e) daughters in lawe (That ys to saye) Thomasyne Austen; Beatryce Austen and Isabell Austen to evry of them xxs a peace to be payde to evry of them wtin twelmonethes nexte after my decease

Also I bequethe to Thomas and Rychard my sonnes xxli nobles apece to be payde wtin ij yeares nexte after my decease
Also I will to Jhane Clyston, daughter of the foresayd Florance Clyston Thre(e) poundes Syxe shillings and eight pence to be payde to her at the daye of her maryage
Also I bequethe unto my Cosyne Willm Asten wever Forty shyllings
Item to the wydowe of Thoms Hole Syxe shylings and eight pence to be payde wtin one yeare nexte after my decease

The residue of my goodes Cattalls Debtes not be [by] me hereto fore wylled gyven nor bequethed (my debts funralls Legacyes and bequestes beforesayde payde and p[er]formed I holye gyve and bequethe unto Willm Asten my Son whome I doo make ordeigne and constytute my sole executor of this my presente and Laste will therwth too doo ordeygne [ordain] and dyspose at hys pleasure as by hys dyscrecon shalbe thoughte mete and convenyent
And also I give and bequethe to my son Rychard Asten Fourty shillings whome I do ordeigne and make myne ovrsear [overseer] concernyng thexecucon and p[er]formance of the same my testament and late will

Thys ys the Laste wyll of me the foresayde Willm Asten thelder made the date and yeare above wrytten Concernyng the dyspossyssyon of all my messuag(e)s Landes and Tents [Tenements] wtall and singler [singular] there appurteynanncs [appurtenances] Sett lyeng and beyng wtin the parishe of Goodherste in the foresayde Countye of Kente in maner and forme folowing (That ys to saye)

Fyrste I gyve and bequethe to my Son Wyllyam ymmedyatly after my decease all my Landes and Tenements before rehersed To have and to holde to hyme and to hys assigneys [assigns] during the naturall lyf of Johane my wyf the same Willyam fynding the same my wyf meate and drynck clothing and howsrome during her Lyf, and also gyving and paying to the same Johane yearly during her Lyf (besydes her fynding as before ys rehearsed) Twentye Syxe Shillings and eight pence at fower usuall termes of the yeare by even porcons to be payde

And yf the same Johane be mynded to dwell goo or dep[ar]te at anny tyme after the decease of me the foresaide Willyam thelder from the foresaide Willyam my son during her lyf Then I will that my foresayde son Willyam shall contente and paye unto the same Johane my wyfe yearly during so long as the same Johane shall dwell and be owte of the keping and fynding of the foresayde Willm my son one annuitye or ann[u]all Rente of foure poundes to be payde at iiijO [4] termes of the yeare by even porcons

And yf yt happen eyther the foresayde annuytye of xxvjs viijd or the sayde Annuytye of iiijli be byhinde unpayde in p[ar]te or in all after anny terme of paymente therof aforesayde in which yt ought to be payde by the space of iijre wekes and be not payde in maner and forme as ys above rehersed That then yt shalbe La[w]full unto the sayde Johane and to her assigneys into all and singlar the foresayde messuages Landes and Tenementes wtall & singlar their appartynncs to entre and desteyne and the destresses theire so taking Lefully to beare leade dryve and carry awaye and them so to detayne holde and kepe untyll the foresayde annuitie of xxvjs viijd or the foresayde Annuytye of iiijli and evry p[ar]cell therof be unto the foresayde Johane or to her assigneis in maner and forme as before ys rehersid well and truly sattysfyed contented and payde

And yf yt happen the foresayde Willyam my son to dye or decease (Lyving the forsayde Johane my wyf) Then I will from thensforthe the same Johane shalhave and enyoye to her and to her assigneis all and singler my foresayde messuags Landes and Tenementes Rentes and s[er]vices medowes Leasures woodes watring pondes wayes and pastures wtall and singler their apprtyanncs during the naturall lyf of the saide Johane wtowte anny strype or waste by her to be made The sayde Johane keping the Repancons [reparations] therof

And after the decease of the saide Johane my wyf I give and bequethe unto Thomas Asten my sonne my messuage or Tenemente wtall and singler their appertnanncs Sett lyeng and beyng uppon the den of Lyllesden [Lilsden] in the aforesayde parishe of Goodherste nowe in the tenure and occupieng of my Cosyne Willyam Asten weaver wt a peace of Lande therto adyoyning called Batts fylde nowe in the tenure and occupieng of the foresayde Willyam Austen my sonne To have and to holde the same messuage or Tenemente and Landes wtall and singler their apptnanncs unto the sayde Thomas to his heyres and assigneys for ever

Also after the decease of Johane my wyf I give and bequethe unto my son Rychard Asten All that my Tenemente called Copped Hall Sett lyeng and beyng uppon the hill in Goodherste nowe in the tenure and occupieng of one Edward Ashenden forthwt one pece of Lande called Gregoryes Reede lyeng in the foresayde parishe of Goodherste now in thacupacon [the occupation] of one Horsmonden of Goodherste aforesayde Sythemaker To have and to holde the same Tenemente and pece of Land wt the appertynanncs unto the forsaide Rycharde to his heyres and assigneis for ever

And The Resydues of all my messuages Landes and Tenementes Rentes Services medowes Leasures woddes waters and pastures wtall and singler their appertnancs not by me hertofore willed bequethed nore assigned I wholy gyve and bequethe unto the forsayde Wyllyam Asten my sonne To have and to holde all and syngler the prmisses wt thappartynanncs unto the same Willyam to his heyres and assigneis for ever
