howsehould and all manner of apparel both of mine and hers, except the portal, table and
forme in the haule, the chopping bourde and cope in the kechin and the kneding host (?) in the
mylk howse which I will shall remayne in the howse
and also excepted three of my best Cotes whereof I give to Thomas Silver my best Cote, to Nicholas
Howting my second Cote next the best and to Thomas Pettet my third Cote
Also I give unto the foresaid Mercy my wife, the one half of all my Corne and haie that shalbe
growing uppon my grounde that season that I shall decease in
Also I do give unto ye said Mercy my wife during her naturall life out of all my lands, one
Annuitie or yerely rent of �20
And also my will is that my wife shall have her dwelling and the occupation of my howse or
tenement in Broad street where I now dwell and 20 acres of land which was purchased with
the said howse or Tenement for 40s the yere so longe as she shall kepe her self my widdowe
And I will that my brother Nycholas Atwood shall kepe and manteyne the said tenement
well and sufficiently repaired during the said ...
I do give unto William Atwood my godson, sone of my brother Nycholas Atwood �40 at the age of 21
and to Walter Atwood, my brothers second son �20 at the age of 21 yeres
and to Richard Atwood, my brothers third sonne �6 to be paid likewise unto him at the age of 21 yeres
by Nycholas Atwood their father whom I do make my executor
Also I do give to my brother Nycholas Atwoods daughters Mary, Johan and Als eche of
them 20 shillings at the age of 20 yeres
Also I do give unto Ann Furminger my brother Roberts daughter 6s 8d
Also I do give to every one of my godd children 12d
To Tameson Tanner my olde maide, 6s 8d
To each of my brother Nycholas Atwoods servants 6d
�10 to my brother Walter Atwood if he happen to lyve one yeare after my wives decease
Also I will there shalbe paid by the owners or farmers of the 2 peeces of ground that I bought of John Kingesdowne 10 shillings the yere for the manteynance of the use of the parish church of Holingbourne and 10 shillings ---- more to be yerely distributed upon every good frydaie to the poure of the parishe, both which sums I will shalbe paied 20 yeres after my decease
I do will and give unto my brother Nycholas Atwood, to him and to his heires for ever, all my landes and tenements, houses (?) and servisses within the parishes of Holingbourne, Frittenden, High Halden or els where within the shire or Countie of Kent and also all such Annuities as I have out of any mans lands wheresoever thaire be
