In the name of God amen the xxjth [21st] day of May & in the xxxth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God Quene of England, Frannce & Ireland, defender of the Fayth, etc.
I Richard Austen of the pish of Adsham in the Countye of Kente Yoman doe make & ordeigne this my laste Will & testamente in manner & forme followinge
Firste I doe willingly & free harte render & give againe into the hands of the Lord my God my Parit? wch he of his fatherly goodnes gave unto me, when he fashioned this my bodye in my mothers wombe by this meanes makinge me a lyvinge Creature nothinge doubtinge but that this my lord God for his mercye sake set forthe in the precious bloud of his dearly beloved Sonne Christe Jesu our alone Saviour and redeemer Will receave my Soule into his glory & place it in the Company of heavenly angells & blessed sainntes
And as concerninge my bodye even wth a good will & free haete I give it over comendinge it unto the earth whereof yt came nothinge dounteinge but that accordinge to the article of our faith at the greate day of the general resurrection when we shall all appeare before the Judgment Seate of Christe I shall receave it agayne by the mighty power of God Whereou he is able to subdue all things unto him selfe not a corruptible mortall weake & vyle body as it is nowe but an uncorruptible immortall stronge pfecte & in all pointes like unto the glorious body of my lord & saviour Christe Jesus

And as concerning my Worldlye goods Firste I will unto the poore people of the pishe of Adisham xxs to be paid by myne Executors wtin iij moneths after my decease
Item I will unto the use of the pish of Adisham the Comminion Cup wch I bought
Item I will unto Edith Huffam my daughter one Cowe
Item I will unto Alice Richards my daughter one Cowe
Item I will unto Everye one of my sonnes & daughters children that be my Godchildren one Ewe a peece
Item I will unto Robert Austen my sonne my Sylver Goblet
Item I will unto Jane Cash? a seame of Wheate & a Seame of Barly & two pewter platters & two pewter dishes & two Sawcers & two payer of sheets
Item I will unto Stephen Ayton my Servannte one Seame of barly

The Residue of all my moveable goods, my debts beinge paid my Funerall expences discharged & my legacies pformed I Will unto Mathewe Austen my sonne whome I make my Sole Executor of this my laste Will & testament
And I make Vallentine Austen my sonne Overseer to this my last will & testament
