In the Name of God Amen I Jeffery Austen of Goudhurst in the County of Kent Clothier beinge weake in body but of sound and perfect health and memory Thanks be given to Almighty God therefore this Twenty Fyfth day of October In the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Sixe Hundred Seaventy and Eight And in the Thirtyth yeare of the Raigne of King Charles the second over England &c doe make and ordeine this my present last Will and Testament in manner and forme following That is to say
First and principally I recomend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God that gave it hoping for my salvation by the pretious meritts Death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer And my Body I Comitt to the Earth from whence it was taken to be decently buryed according to the discrecon of my Executor hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto James Hunt my servant Forty shillings of lawfull moneyes of England
Item I give unto William Peirce my servant Twenty shillings of like lawfull moneyes of England
Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Scotchford my servant the sume of Twenty shillings of like lawfull moneyes of England
which said severall Legacyes my will and mind is shall be paid to the severall persons before named within Six monethes next after my decease

Item all the rest of my Goods Chattells Debts Creditts and personall Estate what soever and wheresoever not herein before given and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my faithfull and well beloved Kinsman Robert Tate of Goudhurst aforesaid Clothier my debts Legacyes and funerall Expences first paid and satisfyed
which said Robert Tate I doe hereby make and ordeine full and sole Executor of this my present last Will and Testament
hereby revoking and making void all former Wills heretofore by mee made
