I give and bequeath to my brother John Avis of Hadlow Kent labourer my bed and furniture and also my wearing apparel together with the interest of all my monies in the funds bonds or notes of hands whosoever or wheresoever that may be appertaining or belonging to me at my decease and the interest during his natural life
I give my godson Thomas son of my brother Henry Avis my watch late of Thorn Kent labourer
I give and bequeath to my nephew Henry son of said Henry late of Shorn aforesaid
the sum of one shilling
and all my principal monies I give and bequeath to the
children of my two brothers aforesaid that were born in wedlock lawfully begotten
after paying my just debts and the parochial and administerial expenses to be equally
divided between them share and share alike
and I do hereby utterly revoke and
disannul all other wills and legacies by me hitherto made and declare this only to be
my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this tenth day of November in
the year of our lord 1812 and I also constitute and ordain Mr James Weller of
Riverhead aforesaid Yeoman the sole executor of this my last will the mark of
THOMAS AVIS signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Avis as
his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and presence of
each other have subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved at London 11th January 1813 before the worshipful Sam�l Rush? Meyuck? Dr of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of James Weller the sole executor to whom admon was granted after being sworn to administer same.
