In dei noie Amen the vjth daye of July the yere of our Lord God [1522]
I Thomas Baker of the parishe of Hastynligh hole of mynde and of good memorie make my testament and Last Will yn manr [in manner] and forme foloweng
First I bequeith my Soule to Almyghty God to our blessed lady and to all the Saynts yn Heven my bod to be buried yn the churche yard of our blessed lady of Hastyngh aforesaide besides my frends

Item I bequeith to the high alter alter for my forgotyn tithes or by me negligently witholdyn xijd
Item I bequeithe to Marione my Wife a cowe and ij haffers [heifers] and my other moveables helpyng my Son Sampson to pay wise my detts

Also I bequeithe my Son Sampson all my landes beng [being] yn the parishe of Elmysted [Elmsted] and Hatyinglighe as also of elswhere withyn the cownty of Kent

Also I give to Thomasyne my daughter after her mothers decesse a cowe if she may spare it

Also of this my testament and Last Will I make (and) ordaine my Wife and Sampson my Son my executors
