In the name of God Amen the xjth daie of September Anno Dini 1556
I Jone Baker widowe of the Parishe of Boughton Aluphe sick in bodie and perfect of remembannce do make my testamente and laste will in maner and forme followinge
First I bequethe my soule to Almightie God and to oure blessed virgin Marie and to all the hoolie companie of heaven and my bodie to be buried within the parishe churche yearde of Boughton (Aluph) aforesaid

Item I will to the highe aulter there iiijd
I will to the reparacons of the churche of the said Boughton Aluphe xvjd

Item I will that all my moveable goodes ne equallie devided betwixte Thomas Baker my sonne and Bennet Baker my doughter my debts legacies and other charges in the courte for the probiton [probation � proving] of this my will paid

Item I will that there be bestowed in masses diriges and almes dedes at my buriall and my monethes mynde and my Twelvemonethes [12 months] mynde at the discrescon of Thomas Baker my sonne whom I ordayne and make my Executor of this my laste will and Testament and Thomas Austine Overseer

This ys the laste will of me Jone Baker, widowe, the daie and yere above written

Firste I will to Bennet Baker my doughter my mansion house called Engles and v acres and a half of lande thereunto belonginge whether it be more or lesse lienge together within the parishe of Boughton Aluph in fee simple upon this condicon
That she doe make Thomas Baker her Brother a clere Discharge and of the summe of tenne poundes wiche he should paie to her Bie [by] their fathers Will
