In dei Noie Amen the vijth daye of Januarye in the yeare of our Lorde God a [1555(6)] and in the yeares of the reygne of Phillipe and Marye by the grace of God Kynge and Quene of Englande Frannce Naples Jeruzalem and Irelande defendars of the faythe Prynces [Princes] of Apayne and Cycyll arche dukes of Austryche [Austria] Dukes of Mylleyne Burgundye and Brabante Counties of Haspurge [Hapsburg] flannders and tyroll the seconde and thyrde
I Robert Baker of the pishe [parish] of Osprynge (sic) in the Countye of Kente sicke in bodye not wthstandyng [notwithstanding] of perfects remembrannce make thys my laste wyll and testamente in maner and forme Followynge
Fyrste I bequethe my Sowle unto allmyghty God and my bodye to be buryed in the churche yarde of Osprynge

And I give unto Margaret my wyfe and to her heyres for ever all my tenementes and landes scytuat lyenge and beynge [situate lying and being] in Osprynge and Faversham or ells [else] where in any place
Item I give to my said wyfe all my goodes moveable unmoveable and she to paye my debtes and bequethes

Item I give to Robert Cryppyon Grygory Cryppyon and Maryon Cryppyon [Crippen] eche of them a vjs viijd
Item I give to another of my sisters daughters named Margaret a vjs viijd
Item I give to Walter Bakar a vjs viijd
And yf anye of the forsaide fyve children dye before the age of xvj [16] yeares that parte to be devyded equally amonge the reste

Item I gyve to Adam Nycholas one lambe at the next wenynge [weaning] tyme
Item I gyve to everye one of Wyllyam Taylours sonnes one lambe
Item I give a xxs towards the repracyons [repairs] of the churche of Osprynge not to be payde untyll yt be layde uppon yt

And of this my laste will and testamente to be fulfylled I ordeyne and make the said Margaret my wyfe my sole executrix
and Wyllyam Taylour and Edwarde Cowgate oversears of the same
theis beynge Witnesses of this my saide last wyll and testamente

Probatum fuit: Vicesimo quinto [25th] die Aprilis Anno dini 1556.
