In the name of God Amen The xxvth daye of the monythe [month] of Marche in the yere of our saviour Jsu [Jesus] Christe from his Incarnacion [Incarnation] and in the iij and v yeres of the reignes of Phillip and Mary by the grace of God King and Quene of Ynglande [England] Spaine france both with Jeruzalem and Irelande defenders of faithe Archeduk [Archduke] of Austrige [Austria] Duke of Burgundei Myllen and Brabant counties of Habspurge [Hapsburg] flanders and Tiroll
I John Baker of the parishe of Faversham in the countie of Kent and dioces of Canterbury, sick in bodie notwtstandinge [notwithstanding] in good and parfect remembrannce thanks be given unto Almightie God, make and oreigne this my pnte [present] testamente and Laste will in manner and forme follwinge, That is to wit
First I render give and bequethe my sowle unto allmightie God my maker Savior and onlie redemer [redeemer] And my bodie to be buried in the parishe churche yarde of Faversham foresaide

And I give and bequethe to Alice my wif and to Hellen my daughter all my moveable goods and cattall wheresoever they be or in whose hand so ever they maie be found equallie amongest them so that they fyrst [first] paie all my debts and funerall expenses

And I make and ordeigne executor of this my present testament and Last will Richard Boddle of Sheldwiche in the countie abovesaide Thys ys the Laste Wyll of me the said John Baker made the foresaide xxvth daie of Marche in the foresaide yeere of our Soverigne Savour [1558] as is abovesaid Concerninge my Lands and tents [tenements] that I have in the foresaide countie of Kente

First I will that the foresade Helyne my daughter shall have to her heires and assignes for ever all that my messuage or howse that I nowe dwell in in the foresaide parishe of Faversham wt [with] the gardens thereto belonging wtall [with all] and singuler Ther apptenns [their appurtenances] to the said Messuage and garden belonginge or in anye wise apparteynninge Upon this condicon that the foresaide Alice my wiff shall have holde and enyoye [enjoy] and occupie to her and her Assignes during all the terme of her naturall liff my chamber in the northe parte of my foresaide messuage wth [with] the comeynge and goynge [coming and going] into and from the same at all times for ever necessarye d=uringe her naterall liff
