In the name of God Amen The vth day of June in the yere of our lord God 1584
I John Baker of Charing do make & ordayne my last will & testamente in maner and forme following
I being of p�fect [perfect] mynd and remembrannce, prayse be to allmightie God my maker and redemer unto whom I comende my Soule And I bequethe my bodye to be buryed in the Churchyard of the pishe [parish] of Charing

I geve to my welbeloved wyfe Rachell my house and Tenement lying in the pishe of Nuname [Newnham?] conteyning wth thappurtenns [with the appurtenances] by estimacon fowre acres more or lesse

And I geve all my moveable goodes whatsoever And I make and ordeyne her to be my full executrix of all my other goodes moveable and unmoveable

These being Witnesses
Thomas Read, clarke and John Keswell of the pishe of Stalesfielde, with others

Probatum fuit: xj July 1584

Notes: Parish registers do not commence in Charing until 1590, regretfully.
