Item I give to the poore people of the p�ishe of Sturrey xiid to be distributed to them in bread att my Funerall
And also two shillings to be given to twelve poore people of the said parishe of Sturrey viz to each of them two pence
apece to be Distribute[d] [to] them by the Minister & Churchwardens at the tyme abovesaid
Item I give to the poore people of the p�ishe of Westbeere aforesaid iijs iiijd to be distributed
amongst them by the Minister & Churchwardens of that p�ishe at my Funerall likewise
Item I give and bequeath unto each of my three daughters Elizabeth Ann and Jane fourty pounds apeace to be paid them at their severall ages of xxith yeares or at their severall dayes of marriages which shall first happen Provided that if either of my said daughters to die before they are to have their said porcons by this my will that then I will the said porcon or porcons of her or them so dying to her or them then livinge of my said daughters
Item I will & bequeath to my said Daughter Anne my best bedstedle with all things belonging to the same & allso I give her my best Chest and a bras pot
Item I give to my Sonne John Baker my best brasse pot and a great chest
Item I give to my sonne Richard a Brasse pot and a Chest
Item I will that all the rest of my household stuffe both lynnen, wollen, brasse & pewter except one little chest which I will to my daughter Elizabeth shalbe equally devided among all my Children sonnes and daughters
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Baker my said sonne and his heyres all my interest title & right which the same or hereafter may have by morgage ot other uise in certain lands morgaged or otherwise made or unto me by Morris Welch of the towne and port of Favershame in the said County of Kent for two severall somes of money viz the some of one is fourty pounds and the other some is fourty seven pounds thirteen shillings And if the said Morris or his heyres executors or Assignes shall payy or Cause to be paid the said severall somes of money & thereby redeemed the land to me by his mortgaged that then I will the said severall somes of money to my said sone Richard
Item I will and bequeath to Thomas Baker my sonne one Annuity which I have out of the lands of Luke Husell of five pounds by yeare for ever to me & my heyres which lands lyin[g] the p�sshe of Great Chart in the County abovesaid to be holden to the only use of my said sonne Thomas Baker & to his heyres for ever & the profit thereof to be receaved by my Executor towards the bringing up of my said sonne Thomas untill he be of Age to chose him a Guardian
Item I will to my said sone Thomas the some of thirty four pounds of lawfull english money to be paid him at the age of xxith yeares by my Executor hereafter named
Item my Will is that my Sonne John Baker shall have the use & profit of all the money bequeathed unto my three youngest Children for his porcons untill they come to their severall ages by which they ought to receeve the said porcons by this my will He the said John payeing to each of them towards their educacon & bringing up after the rate of twenty pence for every pound by yeare
And for the p�formance of this my will my mind & will is that my said sonne John shall enter into bond with such rent surity with him in the some of two hundreth pounds unto the title Principall Judge to the effect that he & his heyres, executors or administrators shall bth pay the said severall porcons to this my said youngest Children at the tyme abovesaid and allso discharge their severall mins__ntyres ?? pay to each of them the said some of xxs for every pound during the time he shall collect their porcons in his lands towards bringing up
The rest of all my Leasehold Tents. [Tenements] Lands and goods & Chattells unbequeathed my debts Legacies & Funerall expences being performed and paid I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Baker & his heyres whome I ordaine and make Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament
Provided nevertheless that yf yt happen any of my sonnes departe this life before he or they can comme to age Then he or they survivinge of my sonnes shall have the porcon or porcons of him or they soe dyeinge anything to the contrary notwithstandinge

Notes:
John Baker (senior) is buried at All Saints, Westbere on 24th July 1618.
His Wife Anne predeceased him and is buried there on 14th December 1617.
The marriage John and Anne (from the above evidence) has not been found as yet, nor the
christenings of the children. Richard and John Junior possibly christened at St. Paul, Canterbury.
