In the name of God Amen
I Richard Baker of Westwell in the County of Kent Yeoman beinge sicke in body but of good and perfect Memory (thankes bee given to Allmighty God) doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Jesus Christ hopinge by the merrits of his passion to have remission of all my sinnes and my body to Christian buriall

Item I give unto my Brother Gregory Baker and his heires for ever my house and land in Thanet in Satisfaction of a hundred pounds wch [which] I owed him long since of wch lands hee hath a Lease already for the terme of about one hundred yeares, or else I will that my Executor shall sell away the sayd land and take the money Comminge thereby to his owne use for the Consideracon aforesayd

Item whereas I owe him the sayd Gregory Baker two hundred pounds more for divers yeares rents of his mannors of Ripple wherein I now dwell I will that hee paye himselfe the sayd two hundred pounds out of my goods & Chattells

Item I give to my loving wife Jane Baker one hundred pounds

The Residue of my goods & Chattells my other debts being payd & fuenrals discharged I will to be equally devided by my Executor amonge my Children & imployed for their placinge abroade by him as hee shall thinke fitt, or for their other maintenance & bringing upp, at his discretion & as longe as they shall remayne with my wife, my wife shall have the benefitt of their severall porcons towards their bringing upp
Item I will that as many of their porcons as shalbee in my Executors hands at their severall ages of one & twenty yeares shalbee paid to either of them by him then

Item I make my said Brother Gregory Baker sole Executor of this my last will & testament desiringe him to take some care & respect of my wife & children

Notes:
Richard Baker was buried at St. Mary, Westwell on 5th March 1630.
His wife Jane Baker was buried at Westwell on 14th February 1633, Widow of Richard Baker.
Richard and Jane Baker�s children (all christened at Westwell):
23-Oct 1614 John; 08-May 1617 Elizabeth; 28-Jul 1619 Margaret (Bu: 8 Oct 1619); 02-Nov 1621 Jhoan; 09-Mar 1624 Mary; 29-Sep 1626 Margaret.
Richard was the sonne of Ralph Baker, christened at Westwell thus:
Gregorie 21 Dec 1576 at Westwell; Richard 23 Jan 1578 at St. Margaret, Hothfield.
