Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Baker my wife the sume of six pounds by the yeare during her
life of lawfull money of England to be payd unto her quarterly by equall porcons by my Executor heereafter named

Item I give and bequeath unto my wife Frances Baker the profitt of one cowe during her life to be

Item I give and bequeath unto John Walke my sonne in lawe or his executors admrs [administrators] or assignes or eyther of them five pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto them at the end of one whole yeare next after my decease by my Executors heereafter named and that tyme twelve moneth five pound more an att the end of two yeares more five pounds, so in all fifteene pounds to be paid by them my Executors heereafter named
Item I give and bequeath unto Frances Marshall my daughter ten shillings of lawful money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto Thomasine Walke my daughter ten shillings of lawfull money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto Henry Hogbin my grandchild fortie shillings of lawfull money of England to be payd to him at the age of one and twentie yeares to be paid to him by my Executor heereafter named
The residue of all my lands goods chattells and lease lands and tenemts [tenements] lying in Hoath and Postling or elsewhere my debts legacies and funerall expences being paid and dischardged I give and bequeath unto William Baker and his heires my sonne whome I make sole Executor of this my last will and testament
This is the last will and testament of mee the said Thomas Baker made and declared the day and yeare above written as aforesaid

Notes:
Thomas Baker was not buried at Postling, but his wife Frances, Widow was, on 15th March 1663.
Thomas Baker, Singleman of Elham married Frances Lampert, Singlewoman of Sturry on 5th December 1618 at St. Nicholas, Sturry.
Thomas and Frances Baker�s Children (all christened at Postling):
23-Mar 1622 Elizabeth; 31-Oct 1630 Frances; 07-Jul 1619 Henery; 12-May 1633 Tomsin; 18-Mar 1627 William.
Daughter Tomsin Baker�s (sic) marriage to John �Walke� is not found � probably due to the Commonwealth.
Daughter Frances Baker married Thomas Marshall, both of Postling, on 18th June 1655 at SS Gregory and Martin, Wye.
Daughter Elizabeth Baker�s marriage to a Mr. Hogbin (sic) has not been found.
Son Henry Baker married Margery Rippingale on 17th November 1653 at St. Nicholas, Newington-next-Hythe.
Son William Baker married Elizabeth Hart on 27th January 1656 at St. Leonard, Hythe.
