Item I give and bequeath unto every one of my Grandchildren, the children of my Two Daughters Dorothy Adcocke and Judith Carter five shillings apeice of lawfull English money To be paid unto every one of them my Grandchildren by my Executor within Twelve moneths next after my decease
And as touching all other my goods Chattells Cattell and all my personall Estate whatsoever my debts
Legacyes paid and funerall expences and charges in proveing this my will discharged I doe hereby give
and bequeath the same wholly unto John Baker my loveing and only Sonne;
and I do hereby make ordaine and appointe the said John Baker my said sonn Sole Executor of this my last will and Testamt
of me the said Thomas Baker made and declared the day and yeare abovesaid
Touching and concerning the disposeing of all and Singuler my messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever with their Appurtenances proffitts and comodityes Scituate leing and being in Acris aforesaid in the said County of Kent or elsewhere wthin [within] the said County All which I do hereby give and bequeath unto my Sonne John Baker To have and to Hold all and every my said Messuages Lands Tenemts. [Tenements] and Hereditaments with Thappurtences [The appurtenances] proffitts and Commodityes aforesaid unto my aforenamed Sonne John Baker and unto his heires and assignes for ever immediately from and after my decease
He the said John Baker and his Heires from and after the time he shall be possessed thereof payeing out of the same unto my Daughter Dorothy Adcocke and unto her assignes the Sume of Three pounds yearely and every yeare during the Terme of her naturall Life and noe longer on fower feast dayes of St. John (the) Baptist, St. Michaell Tharchangell [The Archangel], the Birthday of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the Annuntiacon [Annunciation] of the blessed Virgin Mary by equall porcons [portions], The first payment thereof to be made at the first feast of the feasts aforesaid which shall next happen after (the) death of mee the said Thomas Baker
And in default of payment thereof that it shall and may be lawfull to and for the said Dorothy my said Daughter and her daughters to enter and distraine upon all and every my Lands and Tenements in Acris aforesaid, and the distresse and distresses there taken to have take drive away and impound withold and keep untill the Said Three poundes by the yeare and all arrearages thereof if any shall be fully satisfied and paid unto the said Dorothy my daughter or her assignes
Provided allwayes and my Will and true meaning is That if the said John Baker and his heires shall quietly and peaceably permitt and suffer the said Dorothy his Sister freely during the Tearme of her natural Life to hold and enioy [enjoy] all those Two Tenements and Backsides with Th�appurtences now in (the) occupacon of Nicholas Adcocke now Husband of the said Dorothy and the Widdow Webb scituate at a certaine place called Duck street in Elham Towne in the county aforesaid That then the three poundes by the yeare by ths my Will Limited to be paid unto the said Dorothy and her assignes out of my Lands and Tenements aforesaid shall cease and be void, as if the same had never been menconed
And also the said John Baker and is heires immediately from and after my decease payeing every yeare unto Judeth Carter my daughter and her assignes during her naturall Life on the Feast dayes aforesaid by equall porcons the like Sum of Three poundes of lawfull money of England every yeare And for default of payment thereof, my Will is, That it shall and may be lawfull to and for the said Judith Carter and her assignes at all times to enter and distraine as aforesaid upon all my Lands and Tenements in Acris as aforesaid

Notes:
Thomas Baker was buried at St. Martin, Acrise on 15th September 1686.
Thomas Baker married Alice Joyner on 18th January 1630 at St. Mary, Capel-le-Ferne.

Daughter Judith Baker married William Carter on 12th October 1652 at Alkham.
Daughter Dorothy Baker�s marriage is also not found � but she was having children with Nicholas Adcock in Elham in the 1660�s and 70�s.
