In the name of God Amen
I John Baker of Lodge Lee (Denton) Farmer being in my p�sent [present] senses with my reason, blessed be God, (but) very sick and weake make this my last will and Testament
First I recommend my Sole to God trusting thro� his mercy and Chief meritts to obtain the remission of my Sins and Eternal Salvacon thro� his sonne our Lord Jesus Christ
Secontly [secondly] I comitt my body to be decently buryed after my decease

All I have of worldly goods with my House and Lands lyeing at Breech in the pish of Barham during her naturall life I bequeath and give to my deer loveing wife
and after her decease I give unto my two sons Thomas and Henry
they paying out of it twenty pounds to my son John to be paid him within two years after my wifes decease

To which my last will and Testament I set my hand and Seale this aforesaid 18th of March 1688/9 {1699]

Probatum fuit: Decimo tertio [13th] dei May 1699.

John Baker was buried at St. John the Baptist, Barham on 23rd March 1699.
John Baker married Mary Ford 9th April 1678 at St. Giles, Kingston (next Barham).
