In the name of God Amen The Eighteenth day of March in the Seventh Year of the Reign of our Soveraign Ladye Ann now Queen of Great Britain Anno Dini 1707(8)
I John Baker of the Parish of Acris [Acrise] in the County of Kent Yeoman being sick and weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed be God for the same) do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following
First I comit my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God the faithfull Creator and of Jesus Christ my most gracious Redeemer through whose only Merits and Intercession I hope to be made partaker of Eternal Life and Happiness My Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Baker the Sum of Two Hundred pounds of lawfull Money of England to be paid unto her my said Daughter by my said Executor when she shall attain her Age of Twenty Years or Day of Marriage which shall first happen after my decease

Also I give and bequeath unto my Youngest son John Baker the Sum of Three Hundred pounds of lawfull Money of England likewise to be paid to him by my said Executor when he shall attain his Age of Twenty Years
In the mean time I do hereby will and order that my said Executor at his own proper Costs and Charges shall well and sufficiently maintain and bring up my said Two Children Elizabeth and John according to their Rank and Condition untill their severall portions and Legacies above given shall become due and payable unto them as foresaid and to put them to such Learning and Schooling as is Suitable for them

Item of this my last will and Testament I do hereby make and ordain my Eldest Son Thomas Baker full and sole Executor to whom after my debts Legacies Funeral Expences and Charges of proving this my Will being first paid I Give and bequeath all of my Goods Chattells Money and personal Estate whatsoever

And as touching and all and Singular my Messuage and lands situate lying and being in the parish of Acris (sic) aforesaid or elsewhere in the County of Kent I give and devise the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my said Eldest Son and Executor Thomas Baker his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And now my Mind is at Quiet waiting with patience untill it shall please Almighty God to call for me out of this p�sent [present] life revoking all and every other and former Wills by me made

Notes:
John Baker was buried on 24th March 1708 at St. Martin, Acrise. His birth was circa 1662 � but not found as yet.
John Baker married Sarah Guiney at Acrise on 27th September 1688 � he was of Acrise, She was of Barham.
After Sarah�s death and burial (not found); John Baker remarried:
John Baker 29, Widower, Yeoman of Acrise married Elizabeth Broad, 30 of Acrise at St. Mary Bredin, Canterbury on 10th November 1691 by Licence.
Children (all christened at Acrise):
Thomas 22 Jan 1691 (to John and Sara); then: Elizabeth 1 May 1692; John 14 Apr 1695 (both to John and Elizabeth).

Daughter Elizabeth Baker married William Foreman by Licence on 25th August 1709. He was of Elham; She was otp.
