Will of Mary Baker

of Folkestone, Kent

First I desire to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named
and I give and bequeath to my dear sister Alice the wife of William Knight surgeon her executors admors and assigns absolutely all my stock or securities for money in the public funds and other securities for money whatsoever, ready money, plate, rings, jewels, linen and apparel whatsoever and all my personal estate whatsoever or wheresoever or of what nature kind or quality soever that I shall die possessed of intitled unto

subject and liable to the payment of an annuity or yearly charge of twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be issuing and payable thereout which I give and bequeath to my dear sister Sarah the wife of James May of Folkestone aforesaid mariner for and during the term of her natural life to be paid to her by even quarterly payments
and also subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral expenses and the charges of proving and executing this my last will

hereby revoking all former and other wills and testamentary papers by me at any time heretofore made and I hereby nominate and appoint the aforesaid William Knight executor of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of September in the year of our Lord and redeemer one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Mary Baker the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other

This will was proved at London the twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six before the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of William Knight the sole executor named in the said will to whom admon was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the deceased having been first sworn by commission duly to administer.
