In the Name of God Amen I Maria Bargrove of West Wickham near Bromly in the County of Kent Chandler Widow of John Bargrove late of the same place being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding but mindful of my mortality do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament
First and principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God who gave it and to our Blessed Saviour who redeemed it I also commit my body to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named
and as to such worldly property of what kind soever which Almighty God in his infinite goodness hath or may bestow upon me (after payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences) I give and bequeath as follows

To my brothers Joseph Atkins Francis Atkins and James Atkins the sum of ten pounds each
to my sister Mary Pearce the sum of five pounds
to George Lisco (?) of Sydenham the sum of two pounds
to my niece Mary Atkins the sum of ten pounds and also one half of my wearing apparel

And as to all the residue and remainder of my estate and effects of whatsoever nature or kind the same may be together with the other half of my wearing apparel I give and bequeath the same unto my niece Juliana Rennison to and for her own absolute use and benefit

And I do hereby appoint my said niece Juliana Rennison sole Executrix of this my will and I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be and contain my last will and testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven _ Maria Bargrove

Whereas in my will dated twenty second day of May 1837 I bequeathed to my brother James Atkins ten pounds absolutely I hereby revoke that legacy and in lieu thereof leave to Mary Atkins the Daughter of the said James Atkins ten pounds to be appropriated to the use and benefit of the said James Atkins at her discretion at those times and in that proportion when and in which he may seem to her to require it

and I desire that this may be considered a Codicil to my said will and testament Dated this eleventh day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty two _ Signed Maria Bargrove

(Affidavit by Juliana Rennison that Codicil was written in her presence by the Reverend Charles Francis Farnaby Baronet the Rector of West Wickham and that she was present at the execution of the Codicil)
