First I order that all my just Debts my Funeral
Expences the Cost of proving this my Will and all other incidental Charges and
Expences be discharged by my Executors with all convenient speed
and I do hereby appoint Abraham Barham of Chevening Kent Land Surveyor and William
Wisenden of Hollingbourne in Kent carpenter to be joint Executors In Trust of
this my Will
I give and bequeath to John Champion of Kingsdown in Kent Wheelwright and Carpenter and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever All my Estate consisting of a House in two Tenements and Gardens and all other Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate in the Parish of Leeds in the aforesaid County of Kent and now in the occupation of Robin Wood
but I order and direct that the Sum of Six Pounds shall be paid annually on the Tenth day of October out of the Rents and Profits of the said Estate by the said John Champion his Heirs and Assigns to my beloved wife Elizabeth Barham during the Term of her natural Life the said Annual Payment to commence the Tenth Day of October next after my Decease and to cease the Tenth Day of October preceding the Death of my said Wife
I give and bequeath to my said Wife One hundred and fifty pounds Stock being part of my Stock in the
three Per Cents annuities in the Bank of England to be transferred to me by my Executors within six calendar
Months after my decease
And I also give to my said Wife during the Term of her
Life the Interest arising from the remainder of my Stock in the aforesaid
Annuities in the Bank of England which said Interest I direct to be paid to my
said Wife by my Executors half Yearly as they receive the same at the Bank of England
and after the Decease of my said Wife I give and bequeath as follows
To my Nephew Robert Barham late of Leeds I give Fifty Pounds
To Abraham Barham aforesaid I give Fifty Pounds
To William Wisenden aforesaid Fifty Pounds
To Thomas Ellis thirty pounds
To Uriah Ellis thirty pounds
To Sarah Ellis Forty Pounds
These three last mentioned Persons are Sons and Daughter of John Ellis
of Harrietsham in Kent Bricklayer and Mary his Wife
I likewise give and bequeath
to James Hatch of Ulcomb in Kent Farmer Thirty pounds
To John Pope Son of George Pope late of the Parish of Leeds deceased Thirty Pounds
and to John Hutchings of the Parish of Ticehurst in Sussex thirty pounds
All which several Legacies I direct to be paid out of my aforesaid three Pr Cent Annuities in the
Bank of England by my Executors within six calendar Months after the decease
of my said Wife
All the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Goods Money my three Per cent Annuities and all other my Estate of any kind or sort soever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and to the use of the aforesaid Abraham Barham of the parish of Chevening in Kent Landsurveyor his Executors Administrators and Assigns absolute for ever
Signed sealed published and declared as my last Will and Testament this Fourth Day of
