In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Barnes of Chatham in the County of Kent Widow being sick and weak in Body but of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised be God) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and following that is to say

First I give and bequeath all and every my wearing apparel of what Nature and kind soever unto and equally to be divided amongst my Sister Mary Spencer Widow and my Nieces Catherine Leeds Widow Dennis Meale Spinster and Mary Meale Spinster the three Daughters of my late Sister Catherine Meale deceased

(also from and after payment of my just Debts and Funeral Expences the Charges of proving this my Will and other incident Charges attending the same) I give and bequeath all the Rest and Residue of my Ready Money and Securities for Money Debts Plate Linnen Woollen Pewter Brass Beds Bedding Household Stuff and Implements of Household Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto and to the Use of my Son in Law Philip Barnes now or late of Chatham aforesaid Mariner his Executors and Administrators

and I do hereby make and appoint the said Philip Barnes sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Barnes have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal dated the twenty sixth day of July one thousand seven hundred and sixty three the Mark of the Testatrix Elizabeth Barnes
