In the name of God amen this xxviij th of March 1633
I Edward Bate of Sandherst in the countie of Kent being sicke in body but of good and parfitt memory thankes be geven to God therefore do make and orddayne this my last Will and testament in manor and forme folowing
First I will and bequeath my sowle to Allmightie God who gave it & my bodye to be buried at the discrescion of my executors

Item I geve unto Elizabeth Scott the wife of John Scott my daughter tenn shillinges of lawfull monye of England to be payed unto the said Elizabeth within three monthes after my decease

Item I geve unto Edward Bate sonn of Robart Batte my granchild five poundes of lawfull monye of England to bee payed unto the said Edward when he shall com to the age of one and twentie yeares if he doe live so longe

Item I geve unto Marye Scott daughter of John Scott my granchild five poundes of lawfull monye of England to bee paied unto the said Marye Scott when shee shall com to the full age of one and twentie yeares if shee do happen to live so long

All the residue of my goodes and chatteles my debtes and funerall expences being first discharged and payed
I geve unto Ann my wife and Edward Batte my sonn which two I do make joynt executors of this my last will and Testament.
