In the name of God Amen I John Bishopp of Langley In the County of Kent Yeoman, beinge well in body and in p[er]fect memory, praised bee the Lord for it, doe make this my last will and Testament, this 22th of May 1632 beinge the seventh yeare of our Soveraigne Lord the Kings Mates [Majesty's] Reigne [Charles I] In manner and forme followeinge Vizt
First I will and bequeath my soule unto the Almighty God my Creator and to his onely begotten sonne Jesus Christ my saviour and Redeemer, by whose death passion and Resurrection my sure hope and Confidence is through his merritt and goodnes of the Lord God with the holy Spirrit to receive pardon of all my sinnes, and to enter with him into everlastinge Joyes, to whom bee glory for ever amen, my body to bee buryed wheare it shall please God to take mee out of this mortall life and my worldlie goods as followeth

Inprimis I will and bequeath unto the poore of the p[ar]ish where I shall bee buryed twenty shillings to bee paid presentlie after my decease
Item I will and bequeath unto
Anne Baldocke the wife of Thomas Baldocke,
Mary Solley the wife of Nicholas Solley,
Elizabeth Bunnierd the wife of William Bunnierd,
Katherine Acton the wife of Lawrene Acton
and Priscilla Bishopp my onely daughters

all that Messuages, Tenements, houses and out houses, buildings, barnes, stables, orchards, Lands with the profitts thereof belonging whatsoever beinge in number of errable [arable] and pasture land, tenn peeces or p[ar]cells besids the orchards, lyeinge and adjoyneinge to Langley Heath in the parishes of Langley and Sutton on the east to a parcell of Land of the Lord Ropers to the South, to the Kings Highway west, to the personage Lands, and Jewells land North,
to them and theire husbands dureinge theire naturall lives, and after theire deceases to the Child or Children of my foresaid five daughters and to theire heires for ever accordinge to this my true meaneinge, to bee equallie devided as well to daughter or daughters as to the sonne or sonnes And that after my departure imediatlie my said daughters s(h)all equallie devide the above named presmisses the each may know theire p[ar]te and portion

Item I will and bequeath to Henry Bishop my sonne the tenn acres of Land with the house thereupon lyeinge beneath the hill In Sutton Vallence Comonly Caled Bonten Land to him and his heires for ever
Item I will and bequeath to John Bishopp my sonne the fourteene Acres of Land lyeinge beneath the hill in East Sutton Commonly Called Boyton Land to him & his heires for ever

Item I will and bequeath to Priscilla my Daughter two peeces by estimacon Six Acres more or lesse bowndeinge against the Lands of Walter Godden West : the high Streete North to the lands of Ellis Ellis East, to the Lands of Mr. Swiniocke South, to her and to her heires for ever
Item I will and bequeath to Henry Bishopp & John Bishopp my sonnes one Tenement wth out howseinge and the Lands and woods thereunto belongeinge except the two peeces given my foresaid daughter, now In the tennure of Robert Gascoine to bee equallie devided to them and theire heires for ever

Provided alwayes that if every one or any one of my said sonnes or daughters to refuse or any waies denye this my true meaneinge of this my last will and Testament that then they or either of them which shall soe doe shall not enjoye any pte or benifitt of this my last will and Testament :
and if any one of my foresaid sonnes or daughters doe refuse, they or theire husbands to my Executor releases fir the Ten pounds a peece which their Grandfather Mr. Henrie Friar did give them, that then they shall loose the benifitt of this my last will & Testament likewise

Item I make and ordeyne Henrie Bishop my sonne my whole and sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament,
and for the better p[er]formance of this my last will and Testament, I Intreate my kinsman Mr. Ellis Ellis and my Brother Fildges? Bishop to bee overseers of this my last will and Testament and for theire love I will and bequeath to either of them tenn shillinges to bee paid by my Executir

And for Testimony that this is my last will & Testament I have heareunto sett my hand & seale this twenty two of May 1632

Priscilla daughter of John Bishop was baptised at Sutton Valence on 3 Nov 1611.
