In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Blackborne of Chart next Sutton Vallence in the County of Kent, widdowe, being of good & perfect Remembrance Thankes be to god, doe make & Ordaine this my last will & Testament the Sixt day of February in the yeare of our Lord god, One thousand six hundred Thirty & six, And in the 12th year of his Majesties Reigne as followeth
First & principally I bequeath my soule to Almighty God my Creator & Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer, through whose death & passion I hope to be saved.
And my body to the earth from whence it came to be buried in Christian burial by my Executor hereafter named.
And as for the goodes & chattels which God hath bestowed uppon me, I will & bequeath as followeth

Item I give unto the poore of Chart aforesaid Ten shillings to be distributed at my burial by my Executor
Item I give unto my sonne Giles Blackborne Ten shillings of lawfull English mony,
And unto Mathew Blackborne my sonne, Ten shillings of like mony.
Item I give unto Elizabeth Skoones, my daughter, my gowne, my best aporn, a chist & a ---

Item I give unto the three daughters of Thomas Blackborn my sonne, that is to say, Francis, Elizabeth & Ann Blackborne, the Residue of all my wearing apparrell both of linen & woollen, not before given, And a chist of linen equally to be devided betweene the aforesaid three sisters

The Residue of all my goodes & Chattles not before given, I will bequeath unto my said sonne Thomas Blackborne whome I make & Ordaine my sole Excutor of this my last will & Testament, he paying my debts, legacies & discharging my funeral charges.

In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the day & yeare above written. The marke & seale of the Testator, Elizabeth Blackborne
