In the Name of God Amen the 28 Day of October 1749 I William Boghurst of Strood in the County of Kent being in good Health of Body and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (praised be God) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following vizt. First and principally I surrender up my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved by and through the alone merits and satisfaction of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer my Body I commit to the Earth to be buried in the Parish of Frimsbury near my Mother and Father if I should survive him at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named

Item I hereby revoke and make void all Wills by me made
Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Samuel Pearce Apothecary of Saint Thomas�s Hospital in the Borough Southwark and Mr James Tapley Malster in Strood the sum of four Hundred Pounds In trust for my natural son William Evendine otherwise Sanders to be paid immediately after my decease to bring him up and place him out in the World at the Discretion of the said Mr Saml Pearce and Mr James Tapley whom I appoint his Guardian and Trustee
and if my said son shall not arrive to the Age of Twenty One Years or afterwards die without Issue lawfully begotten then I give and bequeath the said Four Hundred Pounds to the said Mr Samuel Pearce and Mr James Tapley in Trust for William Collins my other natural son if he shall be then living
if not I give it to my Executor hereafter mentioned

Item I give and bequeath unto Mr Samuel Pearce and Mr Jas Tapley the sum of four hundred pounds in trust for my other natural son William Collins otherwise Mills to bring him up and place him out in the World at the Discretion of them the said Mr Saml Pearce and Mr James Tapley whom I appoint his Guardian and Trustees until he arrives at the Age of Twenty one Years
but if he shall die before that Time or after without Issue lawfully begotten then I give to Mr Saml Pearce and Mr Jas Tapley in Trust for my other natural son William Evendine before mentioned if he shall be then living
if not I give it to my Executor hereinafter mentioned

Item I give and bequeath to the said Mr Saml Pearce and Mr Jas Tapley in trust for my two sons over and above the four Hundred Pounds given to each that is the sum of fifty pounds apiece to put them Apprentice that when they are out of there Times then their Guardians may let them have the Four Hundred Pounds to set them up in each of their respective Trades

Item I give and bequeath to my loving friends Mr Saml Pearce and Mr Jas Tapley the Sum of Thirty Pounds apiece for a Ring in remembrance of me
Item I give and bequeath to my God Daughter Mary Simmons the Sum of Thirty Pounds
Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew John Dann all that my Messuage Lands and Tenement Hereditaments whatsoever situate in Cliffe and now in the Occupation of my Brother Philip Boghurst
Item my Watch and Wearing Apparel I give to Willm Evendine and William Collins my two Children
Item I give and bequeath to my Neice Elizth Tomlin the Sum of Thirty Pounds

Item I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my ready Money securities for Money Debts Household Stuff and Implements of Household Plate Goods Chattels Leases Stock and all my real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not before disposed of (my Debts and Legacys and Funeral expences being first paid and satisfied) for which I hereby bind all my real and well personal Estate unto my loving Brother Philip Boghurst whom I do hereby nominate and appoint my full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament contained in these three Sheets of Paper to each of which I have subscribed my name and to this my hand and Seal Will: Boghurst
