In the name of God amen I William Boys of the Parish of Tilmanstone in the County of Kent Yeoman being Ancient and infirm but of sound and perfect mind memory and Understanding (Thanks be to God for the same) do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following
First and Principally I commend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to the Earth of which it was first framed to be decently interred at the Discretion of my Executors herein after named
And as for the Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I Give and dispose thereof as followeth (that is to Say)

First I Give and Bequeath unto my loving wife Margaret All the Household Stuff and Furniture of the Best Chamber of my now Dwelling House and One Half Part of all my Linnen and Pewter

Also I Give to each of my two Sons William Boys the younger and John Boys two Silver Spoons apiece
And I Give all the Rest of my Plate whatsoever Unto my said Wife Margaret

Also I Give and Bequeath Unto my said Wife Margaret my said Son John and unto my Daughters Catherine Boys Spinster and Jane Boys Spinster All my China Ware equally to be divided between them Share and Share alike
Also I Give and Bequeath Unto my loving Daughter Elizabeth the now Wife of Samuel Dell the younger the Sum of Twenty Shillings over and above the Provision made for her and her Children by the Articles of Agreement I entered into on her Marriage to the said Samuel Dell

Also I do Give and Bequeath unto each of my five Daughters following (that is to Say)
Mary the Wife of John Allen
Margaret the Wife of John Weston
Ann the Wife of Smitheyt Spaine
and the said Catherine Boys and Jane Boys
the Sum of Five pounds apiece of lawful Money of Great Britain To be paid Unto them Severally and respectively within Twelve Months next after my Decease

And as to all the Rest Residue and Remainder of all and Singular my Goods Chattels Effects Cattle Stock Crop Money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever And of what Kind or Nature soever the same shall exist and be at the Time of my Decease (after Deduction of my Funeral Charges Legacies hereby given and Debts by me owing) I do Give and Bequeath the same and every part thereof Unto my said Son John Boys

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said two Sons William Boys the Younger and John Boys Executors of this my last Will and Testament
Also I do hereby Give and Devise all and Singular my Messuages Malthouse Gardens Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their and every of their Appurtenances Situate lying and being in the Parish of Deal in the said County of Kent unto my said Son John Boys and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And Lastly I Revoke and make void all former Wills by me made
In Witness whereof I the said William Boys the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament in two Sheets of Paper contained to the first Sheet thereof Set my Hand and to this Second and last Sheet thereof my Hand and Seal the First Day of December in the Twenty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc and in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Nine

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said William Boys the Testator for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as Witnesses in his Presence and at his Request
