It. whereas my father at his death bequeathed unto my sister Percie's daughter called by the name of MARGERY forty shillings my will and meaning is that within four yeares after my decease mine executors shall make the same forty shillings five pounds of good currant English mony
Item I give unto Richard Perce my sisters sonne forty shillings within foure yeares after my decease
Item I give unto MARGARETT my now wife fifty pounds of currant money or monys worth it shall bee inthe choyse of the sayd MARGARETT whether to take all in mony or part in mony and part in corne and cattell untill shee hath received to the full some of fifty pounds
Item my will is that my stuffe or any household stuffe shall bee equally devided between MARGARETT my wife and JOANE and CHRISTIAN my two daughters my wife MARGARETT chosinge there of what shee will soe that it come not more than the value of the third part
Item I give unto MARGARETT my wife all such mony as is now in her keeping shee hath yearely saved out of such menes as I did allowe her
Item I give unto ELIZABETH BRENSLY my sister forty shillings yearely to bee payd out of my lands and tenn shillings in like manner to have her a chamber to keepe in
Item my will and meaning is that the residue of my goods and chattells my debts legacyes and
funerall discharged shall bee equally devided between my two daughters JOANE and CHRISTIAN
It. I doe ordaine and make MARGARETT my wife whole and sole executrix of this my last will
and testament
Item I give unto William Brockman my daughters sonne and my godsonne two peeces of gold videlt that is forty shillings
Item I make William Samon my brother in law mine overseer of this my last will and testament
The last will and testament of mee the aforesaid BRENSLY as touching the disposinge of my
houses and lands
It. I give and bequeath all my houses and lands in the parish of Bewsfield als Whitfield or
else where unto my two daughters JOANE and CHRISTIAN BRENSLEY equally between them two to bee
devided And if any of these my two daughters JOANE and CHRISTIAN shall dye without heires of
their bodyes lawfully begotten that then my will and meaning is the survivor to bee (sic) the
other peice and if both these my daughters JOANE and CHRISTIAN (which god preserve(?)) shall
dye without heires of their bodyes lawfully begotten then my will and meaning is that
my coson RICHARD BRENSLY sonne of my brother JOHN BRENSLY shall have all my houses and
lands to him and his heires after the death of MARGARET my wife and not before
Item my will and meaning is that JOANE my oldest daughter and CHRISTIAN my youngest daughter shall pay unto MARGARETT their mother yearely six pounde thyrteene shillings four pence to bee payed quarterly during her naturall life that is to say five marks by my daughter JOANE and ........five other marks by my daughter CHRISTIAN and her heires the first payment of the said six pounds thyrteene shillings and foure pence to begin within three monethes after my decease And if either of these my two daughters JOANE and CHRISTIAN or their heires and assigns shall either refuse or neglect to pay unto MARGARET their mother my now wife the six pound thirteene shillings four pence or any part thereof that then and alwayes after such neglect of payment or payments it being lawfully demanded it shall and may be lawfull to and for MARGARETT their mother to enter and distrayne into any part or parcell of my houses and land and the distresse or distresses there soe found from thence to lead drive and carry away and detaine and with-hold untill the sayd MARGARETT their mother shall bee fully satisfied and contented for all such payments as shall bee behind with the arrears thereof if any shall bee.
