First I give and bequeath my house and Lands in the parish of Maidstone together with a Barne Stable Garden and Orchard thereunto belonging unto my son RICHARD BRENCHLEY to have and to hold the same with all and singular the Appurtenances unto the said RICHARD and his heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my son THOMAS BRENCHLEY my house Stable Lodge and lands
in Otham to have and to hold the same unto him and his heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said son THOMAS BRENCHLEY my House Barne Lodge and Lands
in Langley to have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances unto him
and his heirs forever upon condicion that my said son THOMAS shall yearly pay out my said
house and lands at Langley unto my son JOHN BRENCHLEY the sum of three pounds and his
dwelling in that end of my house at Otham where he now liveth during the terme of his
naturall life and in default of payment of the said three pounds yearly unto my son JOHN
and likewise his dwelling as above specified then my will is that my son JOHN shall enter
upon such default upon my said house and lands at Langley and the same enjoy to his own
use during his naturall life (anything in this my will contained to the contrary not
withstanding).
Item my will and meaning is that my son THOMAS after the decease of my son JOHN shall have and enjoy my loome and tacklings thereunto belonging which now is in the custody of my said son JOHN paying unto my Grandchild JANE BRENCHLEY the sum of five pounds at her Age of sixteen yeares and in default of payment of the same five pounds according to my meaning there in then my will is that the said JANE shall enter upon my said house and lands at Otham formerly bequeathed unto my son THOMAS and the same enjoye until the said full of five pounds be paid her according to my will.
Item I give and Bequeath unto each of my three daughters xiis.
It. I give unto LEVINE Rochester my godson the sume of forty shillings.
Item I give unto JOHAN Rochester xiis.
Item I give unto LEVINE Chilman the sume of ten shillings.
Item I donominate and appoint my son RICHARD BRENCHLEY to be my sole executor of this my last
will and testament unto whom I do give all my Personal Estate and moveables whatsoever.
In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the seventh
day of May Anno Dmi 1642.
