Item I doe make and or daine my well beloved wife ALICE and my sonne WYMARKE Brenchley to be executors of this my will revoking all former wills by me heretofore made.
Itm I doe give and bequeath unto my said wife Alice all and singular my plate, bedding, pewter, brasse, Linnen, woollen household stuffe and implements of household whatsoever.
Itm I doe give and bequeath unto my said sonne WYMARKE Brenchley all and singular my corne, cattle, implements of husbandry and other goods and chattells whatsoever.
Itm I doe give and bequeath unto my sonne STEPHEN Brenchley the sume of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to him when he shall attaine his full age of one and twentie years by my said sonne WYMARKE out of the corne, cattle, implements of husbandry and other goods and chattells by me before to him given or the money comeing oweing or to be made by sale thereof
This is also my last will and testament touching the diposeing of my lands and Tenements
whatsoever and wheresoever.
Item I doe give and devise unto my said wife Alice all that my messuage or Tenemt called
Butchers or howsoever otherwise called with the appurts together with the barne, stable,
garden and orchard with the appurts situate lying and being at or neere a certain streete
called Swanton Streete within the parish of Bredgar aforesaid And also all those severall
peices or parcells of land with their appurts conteyning together by estimacon Twenty acres
be the same more or less to the said messuage belonging or therewith demised used or enjoyed
situate lying and being within the parish of Bredgar aforesaid to have and to hold to the
said ALICE my wife for and during the terme of her naturall life.
Item from and after the decease of my said wife ALICE I doe give and devise unto my said sonne WYMARKE Brenchley the aforesaid messuage or Tenement lands and premises with their appurts to have and to hold to him the said WYMARKE his heirs and assigns forever from and after the decease of my said wife Alice.
Item I doe give and devise unto my sonne RICHARD Brenchley his heirs and assignes forever one annuity or yearly rentcharge of five pounds of lawfull money of England to be by him yearely and every yeare from and after the decease of my said wife Alice received, perceived (sic), hadand taken out of the aforesaid messuage or Tenmt land and prmises aforesaid with power for him the said RICHARD Brenchley his heires and assignes to distrayne for the said annuity or yearely rentcharge of five pounds or such part thereof as shall be arreare or unpaid up on the said messuage land and premises aforesaid or any part thereof soe often as the same or any part thereof shall be unpaid.
Item I doe give and bequeath unto my severall sonnes NICHOLAS Brenchley, JOHN Brenchley and STEPHEN Brenchley the sume of forty shillings apeice to be paid unto them within one yeare after the decease of my said wife ALICE out of the rents of the aforesaid messuage lands and premises by my said sonne WYMARKE Brenchley But my mind is my said sonne STEPHEN Brenchley shall not have his forty shillings to him given until his age of one and twenty yeares.
Item all the rest of my goods and chattells and personall estate not before herein given I doe give and bequeath unto my said executors equally to be divided between them.

Thomas Beale, Thomas Brockhull, Thomas Cooper his mark.
