In the Name of God Amen the 7th day of March 1673
I Richard Brice Yeoman of the Parish of Tilmanston in the County of Kent, being weak of body, but of sound and perfect memory, and understanding (Thankes be to God for the same.) And knowing the uncertainty of this life on Earth, and being desirous to settle thinges in order doe make this my last will and Testament In manner and forme following. That is to say
Imprimo I commend my soule to Almighty god, my Creator assuredly beleiving that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my sins, and be saved by the precious death and meritts of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus; and my body to the Earth from whence it was taken, to be buried in such decent manner and Christian Interrment, as to my Executor hereafter named shall be thought fitt and convenient
And as touching such wordly estate as the Lord in mercy hath lent me, my will and meaning is the same shall be emplyed, and bestowed as heerafter by this my Will is expressed as followeth

Item I doe revoke renounce frustrate and make void all wills by me formerly made and declare and appoint this my last will and Testament.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susanna five shillings, and to her daughter unknowne fourty shillings.
Item I give to my daughter Francis five shillings and to her daughter now living fourty shillings.
Item I give to Thomas Brice, son of my late son Thomas Brice Thirty pound;
And to Sarah Brice sister of my said grandchild Thomas ten pounds.
Item to Sarah the wife of John Ayny of Tilmanston Carpenter, I give twenty shillings

Item I give and bequeath to my sone Richard Brice now of Marten in the parish of East Langden in the said County Husbandman All my lands in Eastry and Tilmanston and to his Heires lawfully begotten of his body for ever
Not withstanding my will and pleasure is that if the said Richard my son die without such heires that then all my Lands aforsaid shall returne unto the aforesaid Thomas Brice my Grandchild and his heirs for ever
Item That then the said Thomas shall pay or repay to his Unckle Richard or his heires all the summes of the aforesaid Legacies; After the said Thomas he hath enioyed the Lands one 12 months; and my son Richard having enioyed the Lands for one 12 months my will is that my son Richard shall pay all the Legacies before bequeathed 12 Months after my decease;

Lastly I give and bequeath all my Goods and Chattles unto my son Richard whom I doe appoint my whole and sole executor of this my last will and Testament;
And John Ayny above said and George Fagg, Maulster to be overseers of the same: And to see the summe of ten shillings to be paid to the poor of Tilmanston at the day of my buriall
