First I give and bequeath unto my Aunt Elizabeth Diggis of Chilham aforesaid Widow the sume of Twenty pounds
To my Cousin Elizabeth Diggis her Daughter Twenty Pounds
To Colonel Thomas Diggis her son Twenty Pounds
to my Neice Elizabeth Coperthwaite Twenty Pounds
and to Ann Brodnax daughter of William Brodnax Esq the sume of one hundred Pounds
to Mary Brandon daughter of Ann Brandon one hundred pounds
to Brodnax Brandon one hundred pounds
to Charles Brandon one hundred pounds
and all the residue of my Personall Estate Whatsoever I give and bequeath to my Sisters Jane Coperthwaite of London Widow and Ann Brandon of
Canterbury Widow Excepting Five Pounds to be paid to the Poore of the Parish of Godmersham to be equally divided betweene them share and share
alike
And I do also make them Executors of this my last Will and Testament
And as to all my reall Estate lands tenements and hereditaments lying within the County of Kent I give and devise the same in manner following
(vizt)
one moiety or halfe part of the same I give and devise unto my aforesaid Sister Ann Brandon To hold to her and to her heirs for ever
And the other Moiety or equall halfe part of the said lands tenements and hereditaments I give and devise to my said Sister Jane Coperthwaite To
hold to her for and dureing the terme of her naturall life
And from and after the determination of that Estate I give and devise the said moiety unto her daughter Elizabeth Coperthwaite and to her heires
and I do hereby revoke all other Wills by me heretofore made and do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament
