I bequeath unto my wife Ann Buckland all consumable stores in my House at the time of my
decease.
I bequeath to her for her life so much of my household furniture and effects as she may choose
and I bequeath the residue of my personal
estate unto my Executors hereinafter named upon trust within twelve calendar months after my
decease to raise thereout by Sale or otherwise (after payment of my just debts funeral and
testamentary expenses) the sum of Five hundred pounds and to hold the said sum Upon Trust to
invest the same in the names of my said Executors in any of the Public Stocks or Funds of Great
Britain or upon the security of freehold leasehold or copyhold estates in England with power to
vary the same securities at their discretion
And upon further trust to pay the annual income of the said trust funds to my said wife during
her life
(subject thereto) I give and bequeath all my personal estate to my daughter Mary Ann the wife of Robert Relf
now living with us.
I declare that my said Executors at their discretion may advance the said sum of Five hundred pounds to
my Son in Law the said Robert Relf upon the security of his farming stock and effects and his
person security
and I appoint my Brother John Buckland of Ticehurst in the county of Sussex farmer and his Son John Buckland of the same place farmer the Executors of this my will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fourth day of December one thousand eight
hundred and fifty five.
Signed by the said testator as his last will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same
time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as witnesses the said testator having before signing the same caused the words �of my� to
be inserted between the seventh and eighth lines and the words �during her life� to be inserted
between the nineteenth and twentieth lines of the first page.

This Will was proved by the Oaths of John Buckland the Elder, the Brother and John Buckland
