In the name of God Amen Anno dini one thousand fyve hundreth nintye two
I Richard Burvell sicke in bodye but of good and parfect remembrannce do make this my last will and testament in forme and manner followinge
First I comitte my soule to the Allmighty God faithfully beleevinge that I shall be saved and have eternall life by the only merit of Christ his passion

Item I give to my sonne Valantine Burvell my house and lands that lieth in Buckland p[ar]ishe to him and to his heires lawfully begotten,
but if the said Valantine dye wthout issue lawfully begotten then the said house and lands shall remaine to my sonne James Burvell

Item I give to the said Valantine fiftye pounds to be paid to him at the end of one yeare after my decease
But if the said Valantine Dye before the end of the said one yeare then I will that the fiftye pounds shall remaine in the hands of my sonne James Burvell to be paid to the Children of the said Valantine equally as they come to the age of twenty yeares

Item I will to Hugh Burvell twenty shillings to be paid wthin one yeare after my decease
Item I give to William Burvell twenty shillings to be paid at the age of twenty and one yeares
Item I give to Elizabeth Burvell five pounds to be paid at the end of two yeares after my decease
Item I give twenty shillings to the poore to be devided at the discretion of Mr. Harrison our Minister & my sonne James Burvell my executor

Item I will have a sermon ....vly read
Item I give to Alice Burvell five pounds to be paid at the day of her marriage
Item I give to my daughter Margert twenty shillings to be paid wthin one halfe yeare after my decease
Item I give to my daughter Annis the vjli [£6] that I lent to her husband Nicholas Vile
Item I give to my daughter Mary the tenne pounds that I lent to her husband Peter Denne

Item I give my house where I dwell at Stodall in the p[ar]ishe of Littell Mongham with all the lands that I have in the said pishe of Littell Mongham in Norborne [Northbourne] and Sutton to my sonne James Burvell
but if the said James dye wthout issue lawfully begotten, then I will that the foresaid house & lands shall remaine to Valantine & his heires for ever

Item I give to James Burvell my sonne all my goods movable and unmovable, paienge my debts and legacies and I ordaine and appointe the foresaid James my sonne my sole executor
