I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Infant Son William All and every my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments monies securities for money household furniture plate linen china and all other my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever that I shall be possessed of interested in or entitled unto at the time of my decease to hold all the same to my said son William and to his heirs executors administrators and assignes for ever
But in case he my said son William shall happen to
depart this life under the age of twenty one years Then I Give Devise and Bequeath the
rents Issues and profits interest dividends and proceed of one fourth part of my said
messuages lands tenements and hereditaments monies and securities for money estate and
effects unto my sister Mary the wife of Mr George Cook and to her assignes for and
during the term of her natural life
and from and immediately after her decease then I Give
devise and Bequeath the said fourth part of my said messuages lands tenements and
hereditaments monies securities for money estate and effects unto all and every the
children of my said sister Mary equally to be divided between them share and share alike
as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants and to their several and respective heirs
executors administrators and assigns for ever
Also I Give Devise and Bequeath the remaining three fourth of and in my said messuages
lands tenements and hereditaments monies securities for money estate and effects unto
my Brothers and sister Thomas Kingsford Wood James Wood and Betsy the wife of Mr
John Pilcher equally to be divided between them share and share alike as aforesaid and to
their several and respective heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever
But in case my said Brothers and Sister Thomas Kingsford Wood James Wood and Betsey
Pilcher or any or either of them shall depart this life before me or during the minority of
my said Son leaving Issue of his her or their Body or Bodies lawfully begotten then I
Give Devise and Bequeath the part and share or parts and shares of his her or them so
dying unto his her or their issue if more than one equally to be divided between them
share and share alike as aforesaid and to his her and several and respective heirs
executors administrators and assigns for ever such issue taking only the part and share or
parts and shares his her or their parent or parents would have been entitled to if living
And in case my said brothers Thomas Kingsford Wood and James Wood or either of them shall depart this life before me or during the minority of my said son without leaving issue of his or their Body or Bodies lawfully begotten or being such they shall die under the said age of twenty one years then I Give Devise and Bequeath the part and share or parts and shares of him or them so dying unto the survivor of them my said Brothers and Sisters and to the issue of them then deceased equally to be divided between them share and share alike as aforesaid and to his her and their several and respective heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever such issue taking only the part and share or parts and shares his her or their parent or parents would have been entitled to if living
the annual produce only of the part and share my said sister Mary may become
entitled unto by the means last aforesaid I do direct to be paid and applied to her for life
in manner I have heretofore given her the rents Issues and profits interests dividends and
proceed of the first mentioned fourth part of my said estate and effects and the part and
share of my said estate and effects which may produce the same
I Give Devise and Bequeath to the children of my said Sister Mary after her decease in
the same way and manner I have Given Devised and Bequeathed to them the said first
mentioned fourth part of my said estate and effects
And I do hereby direct that
whatsoever my said sister Mary become entitled to under and by virtue of this my Will
shall be paid to her to and for her own proper use and benefit and her receipt and receipts
alone notwithstanding her ... overture shall be a good and sufficient discharge and good
and sufficient discharges to my executors hereinafter named for the same and that no part
thereof shall be subject or liable to the debts power or control of her said husband and
wherewith he is in no sort to intermediate?
And that in case my said executors shall at any time or times hereafter deem it for the benefit and advantage of my said estate to sell and dispose of any part of my personal estate and effects then I do hereby authorise and empower them so to do in any way and manner they may think proper and the monies arising thereby I do direct to them to place out on ..... or such other good and sufficient security or securities they may think proper and I do hereby Give and Bequeath the same and interest dividends and proceeds thereof to the same person and persons and in the same proportions manner and form I have hereinbefore Given and Bequeathed my other monies and monies upon securities with the interest dividends and proceed thereof
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother Thomas Kingsford
Wood and my brother in Law the said John Pilcher executors of this my Will and
Guardians to my said son and I do hereby revoke all former and other Wills by me at any
time or times heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said Susan Loud Burville the Testatrix have to the first sheet of
this my last Will and Testament on two sheets of paper contained set my hand and to this
second and last sheet thereof my hand and seal the Thirtieth day of September in the year of
our Lord One thousand eight hundred and six

The before registered Will of Susan Loud Burville deceased was proved the fourteenth day of March 1807 before the Revd Joshua Dix Clerk surrogate to the Right Worshipful Sir William Scott Knight Doctor of Laws Commissary General to the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of Thomas Kingsford Wood the Brother and John Pilcher the executors named in the said Will they being first sworn well and truly to perform the same
